The idea of Bed-Stuy Fashion Week came during the pandemic, as I wanted to do more local events with NSP, here from home in Bed-Stuy. I wanted to create something that would celebrate the nearby businesses, entrepreneurs, artists and especially those that are into fashions.
Inspiration did come from all the years of taking the NSP kids to castings and participating in Harlem Week's Back to School Fashion Show.
This has been a three year process. We've gave out proposals, invitations, created official website and social media pages, still regardless of lack of response, I believe the idea will continue to grow and build into something great for Bed-Stuy to enjoy.
Come on out this Saturday and support our youth! (And help us plan 2025 BED-STUY FASHION WEEK!)
