String of Beads Parties

12 year old parties are so much fun! I bring along all of the pearls & crystals & semiprecious stones so the kids get to make something really special to take home! Birthday girl gets to choose the 3 projects we do, out of a list of about 12 projects ....and I'm always open to suggestions too if the birthday girl has something specific in mind that isn't on my list!

Had the lovely Maddie’s 9th birthday today! She and her creative friends made bookmarks, bagtags & lipgloss dangles and we had a bit of spare time so we snuck in a little stretch bracelet too!

Anklets are one of the super cute projects that the kids love to do! They get to choose their charm & then we measure everyone's ankle so they get the right length for them, and then they pick their gorgeous beads!
Everyone seems to be a huge fan of the 'toes in' photo that we do at the end!

6th party for the one lovely girl today! ✨✨✨✨✨✨
I’ve done her 9th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 14th & today her 15th birthday!!!! (11th birthday was a COVID year if you’re wondering what happened to that birthday 🤣🤣)

Claudia and her lovely friends made double strand necklaces, a single strand medium length necklace & a stretch bracelet 🥰

Always so grateful to be invited back by this lovely family…. I think I’m going to have to start employing Claudia to help with the school holiday workshops! 😉

This is the perfect party for our little crafty kids! Bookmarks, necklaces, stretch bracelets, bagtags, lipgloss dangles, suncatchers, anklets.....so many fun projects for the birthday girl to choose from!

Some of the super fun projects we do with our 9year old party kids! Long necklaces get introduced as a project for this age group & look really cool with the semiprecious stones tassel & charm! They love that they can put them on without having to undo the clasp too!

I asked ChatGPT to create a cartoon image out of one of my early party photoshoot images a few weeks ago and I think it came up with a pretty good image. Not quite the same as seeing real kids playing with beads…..but it does help with de-identifying kids. The kids in these photos were my daughter’s friends (they’re all Uni students now!) and I had permission from their parents to do this photoshoot! 🥰🥰

I usually take ‘headless’ photos of the kids at parties (that’s why you see lots of images that I post of necklaces from neck down!), but this isn’t a bad representation!

This might look like an odd purchase from the 1st photo…..however I have an arrangement with the Salvos at Red Hill where they collect all the broken bead necklaces and jewellery that’s ‘donated’ and pop it into shoe boxes!
I buy the boxes off them and pull apart all the broken jewellery and reuse the beads in my workshop kits!
Saves all this going into landfill…..and means I get to have some interesting and unusual beads in the mix for the kids to choose from!

Now I just need a couple of days to be able to go through it all!!!
