Lewis Treston’s Hot Tub has wowed audiences, had them laughing, and apparently convinced Brisbane that this is one hot tub worth getting into.

We’re officially SOLD OUT for the rest of the season, and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who filled the seats and made this run so special.

Closing night tomorrow. What a way to go out.

Our reaction when we realised the final week of Hot Tub is SOLD OUT!

Every remaining performance of Hot Tub is now officially booked, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to head into the final stretch of the season.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the show, filled our seats and made Hot Tub such a memorable run.

One more week. Let’s make it count.

Eunice is not someone you want to cross.

Sarah Speller brings a whole lot of attitude to the role, creating a character with enough bite to make even the toughest grandmother think twice.

We’re very glad Sarah is on our side.

Hot Tub must close August 29th. Don’t miss out.

Some performances stay with you.

After becoming a familiar face in the Ad Astra family, Natasha is back for another production — and she’s making an impression as Jade.

A seasoned Ad Astra veteran delivering what critics have called a breakout performance. We couldn’t be prouder to have her back on our stage.

Catch Natasha in Hot Tub before 29 August.

Sometimes less really does say more.

Ashleigh Winter’s production design gives Hot Tub a world that is minimalist, clever and colourful, creating the perfect frame for the brilliant cast without ever competing with them.

It’s another piece of the creative puzzle making this production what it is.

See Hot Tub before 29 August.

Ruby is taking Officer Sheryl somewhere wonderfully unhinged.

With a performance that leans fully into the absurd, Ruby brings a chaotic energy to Hot Tub that makes this crime comedy all the more unpredictable.

There’s still time to meet Officer Sheryl for yourself.

Two emerging performers holding their own amongst some seriously seasoned talent.

This is what we’re all about at Ad Astra: using the stage to connect performers and artists at all levels of their career.

There are only a few performances left to catch the full cast in action. Don’t miss out.

Sandro is making Murray impossible to look away from.

His performance finds the desperation underneath Murray’s ambition, bringing plenty of humanity to a character who isn’t always easy to like. Somehow, we’re rooting for him anyway.

See Sandro and the rest of the cast in Hot Tub before 29 August.

It’s summer. November 2024. Five friends - a politician’s son, a lawyer’s daughter, a demon t***k, a Valley socialite, and a hippie banished from Byron - go to spend a week at a beach house in Noosa. Lounging by the pool on their first day, they notice the blinds of the empty house next door rustling. Most think nothing of it - it’ll be the cleaner, a stray gust of wind, nothing remarkable. That night, though, there’s a green light in the window. Tiny, but present. They can’t let it go, no matter how hard they try to ignore it. Who’s in the house next door? What do they want? What have they caught on camera?

We are excited that Ten Eighty is part of the Astra Nova 2026 program.

Matt is a writer, actor and producer based in Meanjin/Brisbane. He’s been involved with the Australian Theatre for Young People’s 2024 Fresh Ink mentoring program, and the 2023 Assembly program with La Boite. Written work for the stage includes The Ram (2025) Power Hungry Animals and Hushtone (2024), Call Me When You Get This (2024), Przepraszam (2023), Naughty Ceiling (2023), A Simple Little Knot (2022), Temper Temper (2021) and A Ringing in My Ear (2019).

Mentoring Matt is the fabulous Rhumer. Rhumer Diball is a freelance dramaturg based in Brisbane, Australia. Her practice spans new play development and adaptations, devising, dance, immersive and interactive theatre, circus, and physical theatre. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Queensland, where she is writing her thesis on visualising dramaturgy.

We are excited to see where they take this great new work!
