Hi family, here it is. I'm thrilled to share with you, "The Song of the Turtle" in print. It is my second storybook. The first, "The Lazy Little Frog" has been in print for two years.

I was initially going to release this book in September last year, but I took on an assignment and it made more sense to release this book in March, 2024. If/when you read the book, an intriguing detail will connect you to the reason why... I wrote this story for my sons, so they could learn about my childhood and how much I valued and loved nature and how our extended family in Wagang, Morobe, PNG, took but gave back to nature. I wanted my sons to learn what maintains a strong and balanced bond between us and nature. It is also a universal message.

This is a children's book and a seed we are planting for the future, but I know you (adults) will find your own childhood stories and magic in this story. This book is part of my life's work and what I want to contribute not only to PNG, but globally. I began writing this story ten years ago, and the plot surrounds my childhood adventures in nature. I was raised to appreciate the environment and how valuable it is to mankind - and that is the essence of this story.

I am grateful to all the people that have believed in my work and have also helped me with this book, 'the turtle" to the finishing line. Yup! slow and steady.... I have an excellent team and I want to say "thank you again" from the bottom of my heart.

Two weeks ago, I met with Abungac Bart Philemon in Brisbane City. His friend Bala took this photo.

I enjoyed the time and family discussions we had in our mother-tongue - Yom Kawac. I really enjoyed that. It meant a lot to me also to share with him, my new book, because he and other family members and friends, who supported the journey can see how the vision is coming together.

On Tribalmystic (FB), I have shared a longer caption about the day, but in my Art page, I wanted to say thank you for his love, support and encouragement with my books.

I'm excited to share with you for the first time all three books - English, Tok Pisin and Motu versions of "The Lazy Little Frog".

Please know that if you are intending to buy, "The Lazy Little Frog" or Tok Pisin and Motu books for Christmas gifts, I've ordered some stock, but not a lot. We have already sold the first xmas batch. The print cut off dates are, November 25 (for hardcover) and Dec 2nd (for softcover). You can order your copy on our website. www.lazylittlefrog.com

We are proud to announce our new Motu hardcover "Paroparo Maragina Hesiku Dikadika" to our family of three books and earlier published, "The Lazy Little Frog" and "Liklik Hambak Rokrok". These are Papua New Guinea's three national languages. The author, Joycelin Kauc Leahy is from Papua New Guinea and she wants to make this book more accessible to children in Papua New Guinea(PNG), that's why the story was translated into two more commonly used languages in PNG.

With Nicole Kassman when she held a special PNG independence celebrations. I read the English version of The Lazy Little Frog to the early learners at Goodstart Indooroopilly, York Street.

We just published our Motu version of this story. Motu is one of three Papua New Guinea national languages. I wanted to make this story more accessible to the PNG children. In early learning, children start with their mother tongue or Tok Pisin and Motu before they learn English. PNG has 355 languages.

If you are in Australia, you know the Book Week 2022 is on. You may have spotted some fantastic dress-ups and book characters come alive from August 20th - 26th.

To close off the book week, I will be reading my book, The Lazy Little Frog to some early learners tomorrow in Brisbane. I'm so excited.
