I am incredibly excited to announce the launch of JAZZ FOR ALL; a 3 day jazz workshop for female-identifying, non-binary, and LGBTQIA+ musicians in Queensland!

This workshop is supported through the Youth Week grant.

After a brief “retirement,” we’re dusting off the sequins, feathers and jazz hands to bring you Boswell Sister harmonies, straight-ahead swing, and a healthy dose of sass 💃✨

In this moment, she shares the story of the singer who lit the spark in her—Lil Fi, a Meanjin blues legend (now living elsewhere), whose voice carried power, story, and soul.

With serious jazz chops and a heart of gold. She always knows exactly what to play. ✨

🎸 Dave McGuire – Guitar
A soulful, sensitive shredder. Dave’s the guy you want on a blues, a ballad, or a bop. Us singers LOVE him. 🎸💫

🎻 Casey Glennan – Double Bass
One of Meanjin’s most versatile bass humans. From trad jazz to slacker punk, he plays it all—and makes it feel bloody good. DJ, mandolin guy, low-key king. 👑

🥁 Katie Randall – Drums
Our Rhythm queen. Katie’s playing is expressive, electric, and the kind of groove that makes singers feel invincible. 🔥
