I thought it might be a good idea to show the process that art can take when creating a layered piece. Whilst it can be a simple process, often artists enjoy trying new ideas and concepts. In this instance a new fluid paint technique was used and threw off the overall composition of the piece. What can appear to be a straightforward fix, can become a very strange adventure indeed!

With great glee, I recently found out that the Pantone Colour of the Year for 2021 was Illuminating (Yellow) and Ultimate Gray.

FIFO images aims to show the fun, weird, beautiful world of fly-in-fly-out that is punctuated with 14 hour shifts and weeks without seeing home.

The hope is that my images can help transport you to the breathtaking landscapes, fascinating people, oddly shaped vehicles and unique wildlife that come with being one of the plane-bound.

If any of these take your fancy, they may be available in originals or prints. Feel free to message any enquiries via messenger. The remote locations I work in tend not to have mobile reception. Sometimes I can be out in the field for weeks at a time. But, I will be able to message you the moment I'm back in range.
