✨ Attend Kura Tuarua Nationals and support our Australian-raised hoa performing on the national stage
✨ Explore Ruapekapeka Pā and learn about Kawiti, Hone Heke and the Northern Wars
✨ Visit Waitangi Treaty Grounds and perform our mōteatea on the verandah of Te Whare Rūnanga - visit Te Rau Aroha
✨ Visit Kororāreka (Russell), the first capital of Aotearoa, and learn the history behind the flagstaff and Christ Church
✨ Experience whanaungatanga and hononga with other Māori communities throughout Te Ika ā Māui.

🔥 He taonga nō tātou ngā rangatahi nei 🔥

E hīkaka ana ki ēnei tauira e whaia tonu nei i nga tikanga a Tanerore rāua ko Hinerēhia.

A massive congratulations to three of our own who are making waves back home in Aotearoa - raised here in Piripane, grounded in their Māoritanga, and standing proudly within kapa haka around the motu. ❤️🖤🤍💚

✨ Te Weranga o Ōkapu is currently in contention to stand at Kapa Haka Nationals with her new kura, Te Kura o Te Matapihi
✨ Meremaraea (while participating in the Connect 2 Your Culture exchange) has also been selected to stand with her kura at Nationals, Te Kura Matua o Wainuiomata
✨ Atakura has been selected to lead his school kapa, Raukura, at the annual Super 8s competition being held next week

A huge congratulations to you all. We are so incredibly proud of your spirit, your perseverance, and your passion for Te Ao Māori. To see rangatahi raised here in Australia carrying themselves with such pride in our culture, language and tikanga is something truly special. You are walking examples of what it means to stay connected to who you are and where you come from.

This is a testament to the movement happening here in Piripane amongst our Māori communities - raising tamariki deeply connected to their tūākiritanga through kapa haka, Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga.

These moments are bigger than individual achievement. They reflect the strength of whānau, kaupapa, culture, and the collective effort it takes to nurture our tamariki away from home while keeping them anchored to who they are.

We proudly share this win with their whānau, Ngā Manu Pūtohe, Te Puna Mataatahi (Keebra SHS) and Te Hau Tawhiti who have also been integral in their development here over the years.

He waka eke noa ❤️
