Pull up a cussion on the picnic mats, or grab a chair or a beanbag as we hang out and watch a q***r movie together

The movie will begin at sunset, around 6:30pm. We've got free popcorn, as well as drinks available by donation.

Wearing a respiratory face mask is mandatory at this event! We want to make a space where immunocompromised people feel safe, and so we're asking all attendees to mask up. If you forget your mask, we'll have some available for free. (Exceptions can be made if necessary. Please email us at [email protected] to discuss your needs.)

Join us for a q***r movie night! This month, we're celebrating the beauty of friendship and q***r identity with a screening of Nimona (2023).

The screening will begin at sunset, around 6:30pm. We'll be watching the movie in the yard, and you can watch from a picnic mat or a chair.

There will be buttered popcorn and beer available by donation.

Today, LNP Health Minister Tim Nicholls announced that he would be ignoring the results of his review into gender-affirming care, and extend the ban until 2031.

Make no mistake, this decision will cause real harm and death to the most vulnerable young people in our community.

We strongly condemn the decision, and will stop at nothing to see it overturned, and to make gender-affirming care available for all people who need it.

WEDNESDAY MORNING

Timmo is going to be speaking at an event next week, and this is a great opportunity for us to show him that his constituents want access to healthcare for trans youth to be reinstated!

The "independent" review of the Queensland Children's Gender Service has now presumably been handed to the government. Now is the time for Tim to make a decision: save the lives of kids who need access to this care, or continue to sell his soul to big business and conservative lobbies.

As the Health Minister, Timmy has been invited to speak at a breakfast for World AIDS Day hosted at Parliament House.

The parallels between the AIDS crisis and Tim Tim's ban are not lost on us. A conservative government stihmatising and restricting access to healthcare that could save lives because of bigotry against q***r people.

Let's remind him that we will never back down from fighting for our kids and our community.

We won't take this lying down!

The LNP Health Minister has reinstated the youth healthcare ban that was deemed illegal by the Supreme Court.

We know that this decision is designed to stoke hatred against a minority group, and has nothing to do with the safety of our young people.

Stand with us next Friday to show our government that we are never backing down in the fight for our rights.

In collaboration with Queensland Council for LGBTI Health, QTrans, Queensland Transgender Network, the Sexual Health Society of Queensland, and the University of Southern Queensland, we are currently looking for Trans, Gender Diverse, and Non-Binary (respectfully TGN) people to take part in our study.

This research seeks to prevent su***de, increase resilience, and inform transformational change in the TGN community by understanding experiences of accessing, or lack of accessing, gender-affirming healthcare, inclusive of mental healthcare and medical/surgical care in Queensland, Australia.
