Vale Tim Read MP. He was an active supporter of 7th Floor. The first politician we met that actually came to our shows, road his bike to the creative community hub we had in Melbourne to meet with us. Donated and wrote letters of support for our events. Asked nothing in return. A beautiful human that did what he said and stood up for many causes and people. The world is a better place from your life's work. We will miss you.

: Victorian Greens MP Tim Read has died aged 64, following a high-profile battle with metastatic cancer.

Dr Read, who announced his retirement from the Victorian parliament in January, used his final year as the Member for Brunswick to fight against the Allan government's decision to close VicHealth.

The former general practitioner told the ABC in January that VicHealth had helped pioneer sun safety messaging that could have helped him reduce his cancer risk if promoted when he was younger.

The face we make when we realise the next PLAYground is a month away... Thanks to Izzie and Hayden for putting into faces we make when we realise we have to wait a whole stinking MONTH! But PLAYwrights, that's time that your play that's been locked away forever and ever could spent being READ and chosen to be performed at PLAYground! What a fun and compelling night we had on Monday! Our playwright this month gave us a warm, likeable psychologist Andy, played by Izzie, who gave us the REAL reason psychologists often have their own psychologists. Calum masterfully puppeteered Wags - an invisible friend who most of us would change ALL of our bad habits for, and the many other actors and characters who brought life to the evening.
