MATES Theatre Genesis Community Theatre Group MATES produce three productions each year from the three theatre genres: drama, comedy and music. There's always plenty that needs doing!

Established in 1990 and officially known as the Musical And Theatrical Entertainment Society of the Redlands, MATES is an incorporated community theatre group out of Redland City east of Brisbane. We proudly embrace the notice of showcasing home-grown talent in all it's forms. It is not just actors and backstage crew that produce MATES' productions. The success of our productions is built around t

he input of set builders, hair and make-up artists and a team of front of house helpers. Our rehearsal and performance venue is the Birkdale School of Arts Hall -- an intimate venue where we can engage the local community with high-quality entertainment.
