Danielle Bachinger is a local Brisbane artist who was privileged to grow up in a number of different countries for most of her childhood. Danielle returned to her homeland Australia as a young adult, and brought with her a love of culture and a keen eye for capturing life with her brushes, (and even more recently with her camera). Mini Monet was originally a sub-section of her art, designed and ta

Well I have to admit, my little animal family look like they've settled into their current home quite nicely. They look amazing hanging on Antica Home's wall! 😍

I am delighted to announce that some of my paintings will soon be decorating some of the walls at Antica Home, Hamilton's newest addition for unique homewares and gifts. Located at the bustling river end of Racecourse Road, next door to Vagelis Cafe on Rossiter Parade corner. New, vintage and bespoke pieces - a feast for your senses and the missing piece to make your house a home.

Another good use of adult colouring books is to help with giving up smoking! A family member has kicked the habit, and has one of these books lying around. The perfect distraction (and way to keep those hands busy). See, art really is good for you :)

A little bird told us about a great new gable-end mural in Glasgow.

The work has just been completed, on the High Street, and is pretty jaw-dropping; both in its technical brilliance, and its touching subject matter.

This morning we can confirm that it’s the work of local legend Smug. We won’t call him a ‘graffiti’ artist, because this level of draughtsmanship transcends that trite label.

If this doesn’t help lift the grey gloom of February, nothing will…

Have you heard about adult's colouring in and how it's taken off? I keep hearing about this and tried it by colouring in with my daughter over the weekend. I told my mum how it didn't really do much for me and her reply was that I need to try one of the adult's books. Maybe that will make a difference...I'm keen to give it a try!

Can you guess which 5 colouring books are in Amazon's top 20 bestseller slots?

So I have a new project to do at the moment which is to make a sheep mask for my daughter's assembly. You'd think I could manage this but I'm seriously lacking inspiration. Help please?

Hi everyone, due to a previous post where I offered 40% off a commissioned painting (to the first 2 people to send me a PM), I have been inundated with requests. Unfortunately I have honoured the request of the first two people to contact me, so the offer is now no longer valid. I will hopefully be in a position to offer a similar deal later in the year. In the meantime, if you have any painting or drawing you'd like to commission me for, please PM me as I'm happy to discuss ways we can work to your budget.
