We had a booth crew team dinner at an awesome local Malaysian restaurant Ayam Chef, then a few of us went back to PAX Australia to playtest my (Eris) prototype game Darn Socks, and then I got to teach my favourite published game, Broom Service :-)

Folks going to PAX Australia (or wanting to) in Melbourne, I’m running a booth with Isle of Feathers again this year and we have an an awesome team helping us, but I need a few more folks ideally to help out with the Delta Phase Games side of things.

I’m looking for 2-3 folks who would be comfortable teaching / demoing Sugarrr and Delta Rummy, for approximately 4 hours each day.

I can either pay you with an exhibitor pass, or with cash equivalent. Honestly right now paying you in cash on the weekend is preferred to me.

You’ll also get a free copy of Sugarrr.

PAX is in 2 weeks on October 9, 10, & 11.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Lets Play Games Open House 2026 in Sydney recently. It is a special event where Let’s Play Games, one of Australia and New Zealand’s premier tabletop games distributors, brings together representatives from hundreds of game stores as well as from publishers. There are talks, breakout groups, plus lots of opportunities for games to be shown and demonstrated.

I was probably the smallest publisher there and it felt a little nerve racking being alongside industry giants, but, I ran lots of demos of Sugarrr and Delta Rummy, met representatives from somewhere between 50 to 100 game stores, plus got to know the LPG staff a lot better.

One of the biggest things I learned was that our games were available in New Zealand! I had been unaware of that and so it was great meeting with reps from NZ stores and being able to tell them they can order the games over there!

I also had heaps of really good talks to retailers, hearing what they are doing, and learning more about the diversity of game stores around Australia and New Zealand.

On top of all this, the staff from Let’s Play Games were phenomenal to work with. Everyone helped me when I needed it, including helping me set up and pack down my tables, plus helping me to look at how I can work with LPG more in the future in ways I had not considered.

I also want to thank Margo and Beau who let me stay with them on my way driving down, and then to Frank, Belinda, and Hannah who let me stay with them in Sydney.

To everyone I spoke to at the event, it was wonderful meeting you and building connections. I really enjoyed hearing about what you are doing and learning more about this industry I’m in.

If you have a game store in Australia or New Zealand, you can order in Sugarrr right now. Delta Rummy is sold out and I’m working on a reprint.

Also, even though he could not be there I want to shout out Josh Huf, as his artwork for Sugarrr continues to be a huge draw card for folks wanting to learn about the game and about Delta Phase - you are amazing friend!
