Your mortgage should fit into your life — not take over it.

Just because you can borrow a certain amount, doesn’t mean you need to.

A comfortable home loan is one that still leaves room for the things that make your life yours:

Holidays
Dinner with friends
Saving
Your hobbies
Creating a home you love
Future goals

Buying a home is a huge milestone, but it shouldn’t mean putting the rest of your life on pause.

The goal isn’t always to borrow the most.

It’s to find a loan that makes sense for you, your lifestyle and where you want to go next.

RBA AUGUST UPDATE
The Reserve Bank has decided to hold the cash rate at 4.35% for another month.
While a hold might not sound particularly exciting, it’s an important one for anyone considering their next move in the property market.
If you’re thinking about buying, refinancing or restructuring your current home loan, this is a good opportunity to look at your own position rather than waiting for the next RBA announcement.
Because the “right time” isn’t just about where interest rates are.
It’s about whether the numbers work for you.
And that’s exactly what I’m here to help with.

Real Client Stories | Real Success
Every home buying journey looks different—and that’s exactly why I love what I do.
This client had a goal of purchasing a home, and together we found a lending solution that suited their circumstances. They successfully purchased a property within 20km of the Brisbane CBD.
One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is, “I probably won’t qualify.” The reality is that every application is assessed on its own merits. Your income, savings, expenses, goals and the lender’s policy all play a part.
This is just one example of what’s possible—it doesn’t mean the same outcome will apply to everyone, but it does show the value of getting personalised advice before ruling yourself out.
If you’re thinking about buying your first home or wondering what your options could look like, I’d love to help.

One of the most common questions I get asked is:
“How much deposit do I actually need?”

The answer is: it depends on your situation, goals and the type of property you’re looking to buy.
To give you a clearer idea, here’s what a 5% deposit could look like across a range of different purchase prices.

A quick reminder — your deposit is just one part of the upfront costs. Depending on your circumstances, you may also need to factor in things like stamp duty, conveyancing fees and Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI).

The exciting part for first home buyers is that you may be eligible for government incentives or exemptions that could help reduce some of these additional costs.

Buying your first home can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to work it all out alone.

If you’re curious about what your numbers could look like, send me a message — I’d love to help you understand your options. 🤍

One of the biggest mistakes I see is people ruling themselves out before they’ve even explored their options.

•Being self-employed.
•Having a HECS/HELP debt.
•Not having a 20% deposit.
•Recently changing jobs.
•Relying on overtime or bonuses.

These don’t automatically mean you can’t get a home loan.
Every lender has different policies, and every borrower’s situation is unique. What might not work with one lender could be possible with another.
Before assuming you need to wait another year (or longer), have a conversation with someone who can look at your individual circumstances.
You might be closer than you think.
📩 If you’ve been wondering where you stand, send me a message and let’s explore your options.

EOFY isn’t just about lodging a tax return — it’s an opportunity to reassess what’s possible.

If you’re self-employed and your income improved over the past 12 months, your borrowing power may have changed too.

Many business owners assume they need years of financials before reviewing their home loan options, but in some cases, a strong recent year can make a significant difference.

Before you write off your property goals, it may be worth taking another look.

📩 Message me and let’s explore what opportunities this year’s tax return could open up for you.

You are here

with six months still to go, there is so much opportunity ahead.

Opportunity to save.
Opportunity to plan.
Opportunity to improve your borrowing position.
Opportunity to have a conversation and take the next step towards owning your home.

If buying a home was on your vision board for 2026, don’t write the year off just yet.

Your goals are still within reach, and your dream home could be closer than you think.

The opportunity is still there — sometimes all it takes is a conversation to see what’s possible.

RBA update: Rates are on hold.

No cut this month, but no increase either.

While headlines focus on the cash rate, what really matters is whether your current home loan is still working for you.

The reality is, some borrowers could save money today without waiting for the RBA to make another move.

If it’s been a while since you’ve reviewed your loan, now might be the perfect time.

AI can tell you what might be possible.

A mortgage broker can tell you what’s actually achievable.

The difference?

AI works from general information.

A broker works from your income, expenses, goals, lender policies and real-world lending experience.

That’s why two people with the same income can receive very different outcomes depending on the lender they choose and how their application is structured.

AI is an incredible tool for learning.

But when it comes to one of the biggest financial decisions you’ll ever make, personalised advice still matters.

Before making assumptions based on an online calculator or AI-generated estimate, have a conversation with someone who can assess your situation properly.

Because an estimate isn’t an approval.

And a good strategy can make all the difference.
