The iconic festival has been running for over 20 years, raising thousands of dollars for local LGBTQIA+ charities. Big Gay Day is Brisbane's most iconic LGBTQIA+ street party and festival, established in 2000. The festival welcomes local and international performers to fill The Wickham Hotel and surrounding street for an epic rainbow party like no other. Proceeds from the event benefit local LGBTQIA+ organisations and charities.
