✨ A NEW CHAPTER FOR CLOUD9 ZOUK ✨
Hello, beautiful Cloud9 community, and our greater Zouk community — past and present. ❤️
Today, we have some bittersweet news to share.
After an incredible journey of more than a decade, Cloud9 Zouk will be taking a break from our regular classes after the end of this term, September 20th.
Since 2015, Cloud9 has been so much more than dance classes.
It has been a place where people came to dance, connect, make friends, build confidence, find their people, share adventures and simply have a great time together. 🫶🏽🫶
Over the years, thousands of people have walked through our doors.
There have been countless classes, parties, festivals, performances, workshops, camping trips, adventures, friendships, relationships, laughs, tears, first dances and unforgettable memories.
And all of that was created together.
Cloud9 has always been about the people.
The dancers who showed up every week.
The students who encouraged each other, and embraced the learnings.
The teachers and artists who shared their knowledge and passion.
The assistants and volunteers who gave their time and energy.
The organisers who worked behind the scenes.
And every single person who brought their own unique energy into this community.
You are Cloud9. ❤️
We have been thinking about this next step for some time. While this is an emotional moment, we also feel incredibly grateful for everything that has been created and excited to see what the future may bring.
We don’t know exactly how long this break will be.
We may return.
We may evolve into something completely different.
For now, we simply want to pause, appreciate the journey and celebrate what we have created together.
But we’re not finished just yet! 🔥
We still have International Zouk Day, the flash mob and our regular classes until September 20th.
So let’s make these final weeks something special.
Come dance with us.
Come connect.
Come laugh.
Come create a few more memories together. ❤️
And we also want to take a moment to acknowledge the amazing Zouk communities and dancers around Australia and New Zealand who have shared this journey with us.
To our friends and fellow dancers, and our community and schools leaders — thank you. ❤️
Thank you for the collaborations, exchanges, events, festivals, visits, workshops, artists, dancers and countless moments of connection we've shared over the years. 💖
The Zouk community has always been more than any one city or dance school, its been, and continues to be, an interconnected group of passionate people dedicated to the dance, their craft, and bringing the joy of dancing into the lives of people ✨️
We have travelled, supported each other, welcomed each other into our communities and helped each other grow.
We are incredibly grateful to have been part of this beautiful wider Zouk family. 🌎❤️
And to everyone who has ever been part of Cloud9 — whether you joined us last week or ten years ago:

We may be taking a break…
…but the friendships, memories and connections created through Cloud9 will always be part of its story.
This isn’t necessarily goodbye.
