[Show 2/3] The one with the bar, the car, and the why so far

V belated but just wanted to document this crazy thing that we all did/survived. Logging shared long ass car rides with ASMs and , racing between laojiu rehearsals at ttp and rehs at the school; me subsisting largely on bars due to convenience+time (w fellow bargirl AD ); the truly weird and wonderful messages & photos our 1000% effort producer and PM sends me... 🫶

This was truly a wild and memorable ride. I would estimate I was tired probably 95% of the time 😆 Choreoing was a full on scrappy affair of snatching time in random corridors, rooms, the upstairs studio at ttp, taxis, and at home late at night (pls don't judge my pjs 🫣). Between getting crosseyed reading the schedules and show plans (how the production team even produced these documents is 🤯), trying to decipher some of the most WTF choral scores i've ever seen in my life thanks to , figuring out how on earth to count composer .lum's crazy cool music for the dancers... twice I accidentally added oatmilk to my hydration salts (would NOT recommend)... rly had me questioning my life choices 😂

But through all the challenges and uncertainties and the freaking WEATHER (ahh the joys of outdoor elements in tropical weather), I felt so supported by the entire team at , a real all-hands moment. The incredible teachers from the school also went above and beyond to make this happen, to ensure the students could create precious memories they'll carry with them for years to come. I'm so proud of the students for showing commitment and initiative, pulling through to put on a wonderful performance ✨️

Thank you laoban director for having me onboard and for the support and encouragement as always ❤️ It was also such a pleasure to work with director on one of the pieces and to chat during our (+august) long rides literally across the island 🫠 Thank you also SM , LD and SD Sandra for your brilliant collborations that really elevated the pieces and the show.
