🎭 AUDITIONS OPEN – YOUTH ONE ACT PLAY 🎭

Brisbane Arts Theatre is excited to announce auditions for our 2026 Youth One Act Play entry!

This year, we're bringing the hilarious and fast-paced The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon by Don Zolidis to the stage.

What happens when two narrators attempt to tell all 209 Grimm fairy tales in a single performance? Chaos, comedy, and plenty of unexpected twists! From Cinderella to Hansel and Gretel, Rapunzel to Rumpelstiltskin, this clever comedy turns classic fairy tales upside down.

We are seeking young performers aged 12–17 years who are enthusiastic, creative, and ready to be part of a fun and rewarding theatrical experience.

Whether you're an experienced performer or looking to take the next step in your theatre journey, we'd love to see you at auditions.

🎭✨ Our proud tradition of Terry Pratchett Productions! ✨🎭

The Discworld is a magical place to visit, and over the years we've collected a wonderful family of audience and actors alike who want to visit it over and over again.
Usually adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs, the stories set on this strange, flat world carried through space by four elephants stood on the back of a turtle are beloved by many, and we are proud to have been Brisbane's home for these fans to combine their love of the Dysk and their love of theatre for 28 years!
Some shows were even so good we've done them twice, and thanks to our wonderful volunteers going through our photo archive, you can see comparisons of different (and very similar) ways we've performed them.

And if the Discworld isn't really your thing, well, to quote Terry himself (via Jason Ogg) - "You ain't supposed to understand the jokes - this is a play."
