During November 2018, took over social media following the acquittal of a man during a r**e trial. It was during this trial where the female’s underwear was used as evidence for consent. According to the Irish Examiner newspaper, the defence barrister demanded the court take into consideration the girls outfit choice that night. It was claimed that she had chosen to wear ‘suggestive underwear’, as if this came with some kind of implied consent. . Not only was it enough to suggest the girl’s choice in underwear was an indication of her sexual desires, however, the court official proceeded to show the underwear, live, in the courtroom. . This movement was the inspiration behind the creation of this project, highlighting the meaning behind the hashtag. No matter the circumstances, consent should never be assumed. No matter the circumstances, unless there is a clear yes, it’s a no.
