I try to knit my dad a pair of socks every year for his birthday on 6th June 🎉 This year I’ve had a slight delay, but now they’re ready to ship off to Denmark 🇩🇰 It’s my first time trying by - I’ve enjoyed knitting with it and I’m excited to see how it’ll wear. Pattern is mosaic knitting pattern by Fiori Yarns.

Progress on my by in beautiful hand dyed by . I’m on sleeve island, and hoping I’ll get off fairly soon 😅 also, this is my WIP entry into the by 🎁❤️🥰 I cast on 13th September after some less than great news when I needed something just for me, and this project has not disappointed. Loving the fibre and how light and fluffy it gets. And, the field patter is just stunning. The colour is a bit out of my comfort zone, but I love it 😻

My first ever definitely didn’t disappoint 🥰 all the way from my home country Denmark and filled with wooly goodies and treats. I can’t wait to try all the new fibres. Thank you - you nailed it ☺️

Miss 4 and I had loads of fun dyeing a skein of yarn with food colouring ice cubes this weekend. She chose all the colours of the rainbow and can’t wait for her rainbow socks 🌈

I used plenty of vinegar to set the dye in the oven, and although I may not have chosen these colours myself, this skein just makes me so happy 😁

Out of bed before the kids this morning for a little me-time 🥰 slow progress on my by using my advents from and as well as scraps from my stash. My ambition is that this blanket will grow fairly big, but also that I’ll finish it before the end of the year. Let’s see 😅

Passion for yarn

When I was a kid I was always fascinated by my mothers crochet and knitting skills, and I would not have been more than 5 when I held a crochet hook in my hand the first time.

When I was a teenager I thought that yarn craft was so uncool that I gave it up completely. I became wiser :)

When I was writing my bachelors thesis I was under a lot of pressure, and for some reason I picked up crochet again. This made me calmer than I had been in a very long time. I had found my meditation. I have never looked back!
