So. As you no doubt know, Velvet Helmet is in hiatus until all of our core team can return to Brisbane from arts adventures all over the country and the world. Hello! Would anyone like to take over the organisation of Velvet Helmet? We ideally want 3-4 organised and motivated people preferably with some event / production experience. t's been a wonderful company to heed in 2015 and we would love to see the monthly events continue but have got some key members out for the count. We can provide mentor ship for anyone willing to take it on- otherwise it's going to be packed into a suitcase until the next time We are in town lots of love to yall ###

The Holidays have been nutso, so here is the belated but nevertheless needed statement about how FANTASTIC the Best After Party Ever was. You all truly put on the best and we had an amahhhzing time!! Here are some highlights of the night and thank you, thank you again for the innuendos, the dance, the love letters, the mariachi, and the countless stories that followed.

Recently returned from The John Bolton Theatre School; a four month intensive in theatre, performance & clown, Caitlin has her ukulele by her side, her elastic face primed, and is ready to wow you with her red-nosed wrangler, Ammonia.

Ammonia is a punk. An activist. A pioneer of fuss-making and rock & roll. The most hardcore clown you'll ever encounter, she's fresh from her stint rescuing the barnacles from the side of the Sea Shepherd and she's joining the VH lineup for the first time to bring you her patented guide to dealing with politics, placards and protesting.
