Inspired by the native Banksia Serrata. This coastal shrub can be spotted along beach landscapes from Queensland all the way into Victoria, with pockets of growth found as far south as Tasmania. Its distinctive serrated leaves create a unique outline and its intricate creamy yellow blooms add contrast to the woody brushlands that form along the foreshore.

Both of these artworks were inspired by the coastal landscape at Salt Beach, Kingscliff and feature the native Macaranga species

Coastal Banksia Serrata Still V'

This woody coastal shrub can be spotted along coastal landscapes from Queensland all the way into Victoria, with pockets of growth found as far south as Tasmania. Its distinctive serrated leaves create a unique outline while its intricate seedpods and creamy yellow blooms add contrast to the woody brushlands that form along the foreshore.

Settled into an earthenware pot the banksia serrata foliage spills out into a beautiful display of leaves, pods and flowers. Created with a darkened palette inspired by bushlands that have been touched by bushfires, ‘Coastal Banksia Still V’ is a statement piece that is both bold and balanced.

Available as a limited-edition print on hand-stretched canvas, framed in oak or as a fine art print on sustainable agave paper 🌵🖤

'Macaranga Moment III' is inspired by the foredune habitat of Salt Beach in Kingscliff, New South Wales where native macaranga grows all along the beautiful coastline.

The colour palette for 'Macaranga Moment III' has been drawn from this rich seaside landscape with its woody hues, sandy tones and muted blue highlights.
