Magda Community Artz is proud to host a new guitar concert series - Guitar Brisbane! Very excited to bring an amazing line up of international and homegrown artists to Brisbane.

The 2017 concert series includes: Melbourne based guitar duo, Ziggy and Miles Johnston; Jesse Flowers - Classical Guitarist, internationally award-winning German/Australian guitarist; acclaimed Brisbane-based Hamish Strathdee - Classical Guitarist; Melbourne International Guitar Competition winner for 2016, Andrew Blanch from Sydney; Italian virtuoso, pedagogue and concert artist, Lorenzo Micheli; and, Frenchman Thibaut Garcia, 2015 Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competition Winner.

Guitar concerts at Magda's with the help of BIGFest!, just keeps getting better. Friday 16th June sees Richard Gilewitz and Michael Fix performing. Saturday 17th June we have the wonderful celtic guitarist Tony MacManus and singer Fiona Ross in their only Queensleand concert, launching their cd: Clyde Waters. Diarise it. Full details to follow.

It has been too long since we commented on the wonderful Johannes Moller and Laura Fraticelli's exquisite concert at Magda Community Artz on 18th March. Adjectives become nonsense in describing the aura of sound that ebbed and flowed that evening. We do have a recording of it and J & L have kindly agreed to allow us to post it. We will advise when that happens. In the meantime check out Michael Fix and Richard Gilewitz who will be at Magda's on Friday 16th June.
