A couple of historic points of interest below.

A little tidbit on their famous brand icon...
Arnott's icon is the parrot eating a biscuit. ... While many people today would say the parrot is based off the native Australian bird, legend has it that the model used, was actually a Mexican given to William by the captain of a Newcastle coal fleet.

When were Tim Tams invented?

While in Britain, Ian Ross the director of food technology found the Penguin biscuit and decided to "make a better one". Tim Tam went on to the market in 1964. They were named by Ross Arnott, who attended the 1958 Kentucky Derby and decided that the name of the horse, Tim Tam, was perfect for a planned new line of .
