Starting this term, we are excited to introduce our new Pencil Shading & Clay Class.
This class is available for students from Year 3 and above, and is perfect for children who enjoy hands-on creating and making 😊

The class runs for 2 hours and combines both clay sculpting and pencil shading/drawing lessons.
It is designed especially for students who are confident in painting but would like to further develop their drawing skills, understanding of form, and 3D expression.
Through this program, students will build strong artistic foundations while improving their understanding of structure, volume, and clay techniques.

The Pencil Shading & Clay Class is divided into different levels, and this term we will begin with the first level: **Essential Basic (8-week course, Sat 1:30-3:30pm).**

In the Essential Basic level, students will learn fundamental drawing skills, pencil shading techniques, form and structure, and basic clay techniques.

After completing this level, students may progress to the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels.

🎨 ART LEVEL (Advanced Class)

After learning the fundamentals in General Art level and Pre-Art level — such as basic painting techniques, shading, colour mixing, and foundational drawing skills — students move into our Art Level classes where they begin creating more advanced and detailed artworks.

In Art Level, students learn how to:
• Work from challenging references
• Paint and draw with deeper detail and realism
• Practice advanced blending and layering techniques
• Understand texture, lighting, and complex colour combinations
• Complete canvas paintings and mixed media artworks
• Combine materials such as acrylic paint, coloured pencils, markers, and more
• Build patience, observation skills, and artistic confidence
• Develop their own artistic style and creative problem-solving skills

✨ Art Level focuses on applying all the basics into more professional-looking artwork with stronger composition, finer details, and creative expression.

🌕 Moon Jar Mother-of-Pearl Painting Class
Create a one-of-a-kind object by adding the delicate sparkle of mother-of-pearl onto the soft glow of a moon jar.

The moon jar is a traditional Joseon-era white porcelain jar, named for its round, generous shape resembling the full moon.
