Holiday Workshops for audition preparation for Matilda the musical

I had the absolute joy to be sitting in the audience watching Matilda Jr on Friday night seeing my incredible little superstars Cadance and Fraser playing the roles of Matilda and Bruce!

These two superstars were amazing, every note perfectly placed, every emotion conveyed, they took the audience on a journey and were phenomenal!

Having watched these children grow up, literally for the last 9 years and sharing their theatre journey having chaperoned them since they were 5 years old makes me so incredibly proud of the determination, their focus, their spirit and passion as well as being two insanely talented superstars!

Coming to QPAC 2028!!

Well it’s been a week since we closed Snow White at QPAC and it was certainly an epic production having 14 shows over 2 weeks, 2 venues and many many hours chaperoning my fireflies, pixies and militaries!

Having the age range from 8 years plus and for some of them it being their first show, was a feat in itself and whilst I don’t do this job for the gifts and acclimations, occasionally I will receive something that just takes my breath away and reminds me why I do this! Why I have chosen to get into chaperoning and helping the young performers of the future grow and shape through their development and through each show!

Snow White tested everyone but at the end of the run, I was gifted with the most beautiful portrait from one of my fireflies and it reminded me that I am making a difference to some of these young performers!!
