Blue Trunks (Original Artwork) 💚

There's a rhythm to this one. Swirling clouds, rolling emerald hills, and those unexpected pops of pink and reddish-orange at the base of the trees — like the landscape is dancing.

I painted 'Blue Trunks' alongside 'Crimson Shadows' as a diptych, but each holds its own energy and can be purchased as a stand-alone piece.

This is what making the work actually looks like. No tidy flat-lay, no carefully styled corner. Just a palette mid-mix, a paint water that has seen things, and that one brush that always ends up on the floor.

People often see the finished painting up on a wall and imagine a calm, serene process behind it. The truth is a lot messier and honestly a lot more joyful. This chaos is where the colour gets figured out, where a coastal palette comes together one wonky blob at a time.

I have stopped apologising for the mess. It means I am working.

I've always been drawn to the ones that don't quite fit.

You know those trees? The ones that stand a little apart from the rest. Bold. Blue. Like they showed up to the wrong party and decided to own it anyway.

There's something about them. They don't ask for permission. They just… are. And somehow, that makes them impossible to look away from.

Do you have a place like this?

Somewhere you've never been, but somehow, you know it. Golden fields stretching out. Teal mountains in the distance. Whimsical clouds you only see in dreams.

That's what I was chasing when I painted this one. A place that feels like home, even if you've never set foot there.

Comfy Spot (Original Artwork) 💚

Everyone has a place like this — somewhere you've been once that keeps calling you back. Maybe it's a quiet hill you stumbled across on a drive. Maybe it's a view you can't quite forget.

That's what I was painting when I made 'Comfy Spot.' Golden plains, teal mountains, and those lush green trees you'd return to again and again.

This piece was painted alongside 'Drawn to You' as a diptych, but each stands beautifully alone.

Day Unfolds (Original Artwork) 💚

There's a moment just after sunrise. Before the rushing starts, before the emails pile up. When the light spills across everything like it's in no hurry at all.

That's what I was holding onto when I painted this one. Not the sunrise itself, but the feeling that comes after. When the morning softens and you remember you don't have to run at the day. You can let it come to you.

This painting is for that pause. The one most of us skip.

Yippee! A genuinely lovely reason to finally bring home that painting you keep coming back to.

If you run a business here in Australia, the Government’s $20,000 instant asset write-off means an original artwork under $20K, displayed in your business space, can be deducted in full this financial year. Immediately, not depreciated slowly over time.

It applies to businesses with turnover under $10 million, the work needs to be in place by 30 June 2026, and after that the threshold drops right back to $1,000, so now really is the moment.

For my international friends, this one’s an Aussie tax thing, sorry!

As always, have a quick chat with your accountant about your own situation. They’ll know exactly what you can claim.

You know those spots. Where you’d lay a blanket down and just... stay.

That rich mustard through the hills. Trees dotted across the green. A sky that feels like it’s barely moving. I painted this one chasing that feeling. That exhale.
