Wallaby Pocket, imagined in a room.

This is the greenest work in the collection and it brings a lot of life into a space. It would hold a big wall well, somewhere with room to stand back from it.

103 x 103cm, framed in Flooded Gum.

Wallaby Pocket in situ, 100 x 100cm.
The greenest work in Sunday Drives. Seeing it placed gives a truer sense of how much life the palette brings into a room.

Where would this one go in your place?

Up close, the homestead is a few strokes of pink and a hint of a roofline.

That is all it needs to be. When you drive past you do not see the house properly either, just colour where colour should not be, and then it is behind you.

The grasses in front are loose and quick, dragged upward with the brush almost dry.

From Sunday Drives, part one.

Available today at the Affordable Art Fair Melbourne through The Toowoomba Gallery - stand D4. Alternatively head to thetoowoombagallery.com and purchase is original artwork online today.

Loading Paddock, framed in Flooded Gum and ready to go.

This one leaves for Melbourne this week. Wide blue sky, the paddock washed pale, the yards waiting quietly for whatever comes next.

103 x 103cm, acrylic and oil on canvas.

With The Toowoomba Gallery at the Affordable Art Fair Melbourne, 27 to 30 August.

Unrolling Road Well Travelled before it went to be stretched and framed.

This is my favourite part, seeing the whole thing at once after weeks of working up close. The red dirt was the first thing I put down and everything else grew around it.

It is framed now in Flooded Gum and on its way to Melbourne with The Toowoomba Gallery for the Affordable Art Fair 27-31 August.

Almost Home, imagined on a wall.

At 79 x 79cm this is one of the two smaller works, which makes it a good one for a hallway or a smaller space. The mauve in the sky is unusual for me and it does something lovely against warm walls.

Framed in Flooded Gum.

With The Toowoomba Gallery at the Affordable Art Fair Melbourne, 27 to 30 August.

Homestead Glimpse, and me for scale.

103 x 103cm. The homestead itself is only a small part of the painting, tucked back behind the trees where you would actually see it from the road. Most of the canvas is grass and sky.

That was deliberate. It is a painting about the glimpse, not the house.

Wallaby Pocket, framed and ready for Melbourne.

Soft pink light settling over rolling country, fence posts stepping down toward a field. One of those places you glimpse from the road and wish you could stop.
103 x 103cm, acrylic and oil on canvas, framed in Flooded Gum.

With The Toowoomba Gallery at the Affordable Art Fair Melbourne, 27 to 30 August.
