🤎 Introducing our wonderful pianist - Jasmine Buckley 🤎
Jasmine Buckley (ATCL, BMus Hons) is a passionate teacher, accompanist and performer. She learnt piano with the Suzuki method starting at the age of 3 and began playing the viola at age 7. She is now a credited Suzuki teacher in training, inspiring students to pursue their musical goals and develop a passion for the art.
She recently played piano in Ghostlight Theatre Co.’s Night of the Living Dead, Queensland College of Dance’s Chicago and Vox Theatre Art’s If/Then.
She has a Bachelor of Music with 1st Class Honours from the University of Queensland, majoring in piano performance. Jasmine has been involved in many performances as a collaborative artist, and has accompanied for concerts, exams, auditions, eisteddfods and more. She recently accompanied for the musical theatre auditions for Adelaide’s Elder Conservatorium.
Jasmine won the Margaret Nickson Prize for Voice and Piano Accompaniment, the Accompanists' Guild of Qld Piano Accompaniment Award and the Burnett William Wendorff Memorial Prize for Classical Piano. She has been awarded a Trinity College of London Performance Diploma with distinction, for piano. Additionally, Jasmine has collaborated with the Queensland Youth Orchestras, University of Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra, on viola, piano and celeste.
