Hi Fam,

I'm currently in the middle of a course about cultural and child safety, and I'm diving into the physical safeguarding section of it at the moment, where it talks about the benefits of cross-training for children.

So, I'm thinking about how cross-training can really benefit kids, like doing a range of different activities such as soccer, dance, swimming, gymnastics, cricket or netball instead of just focusing on one.

For me, as a dancer, I've found that Pilates and Yoga have been really helpful. I'd like to share a couple of channels that I've found useful, that the kids could do at home on days when they don't have dance or other activities. Maybe you could even try them too!

One of our talented students, Sipora, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in March 2025, just before her 7th birthday. She's now dependent on insulin for life.

Her dad is participating in the Redlands Walk to Breakthrough T1D on March 8th to raise money and support Sipora. Sipora's story is one of strength and resilience - she needs insulin with every meal, counts carbs, and wears life-saving devices 24/7.

Get ready for a howling good time this Wednesday as we transform our studio into a haunted dance floor for our annual Halloween dress-up session. Your little monsters and superheroes are encouraged to come dressed in their most spellbinding costumes. We’ll have prizes for the best dress in each class so don’t be afraid to get creative. Term 3 done and dusted, and I’m still standing! 😅

Massive thanks to the superhero parents who somehow manage to get their tiny humans to our Mint Kids Hip Hop sessions every week. You’re the real MVPs.

But the real magic happens when the kids take center stage, bust out their solos, and I’m met with a sea of beaming parental pride. Those moments are everything. Watching them grow and shine is the best part of the job.

Huge thanks also to my incredible team - Abby our admin star, Roger our amazing breakdance teacher, and my junior rockstars Sara, Veronika, and Florence. And to my biggest fans, Mum and Dad, thanks for being there every week, cheering me on.

Can’t wait to see what term four brings! See you all on October 8 🫶

Check out some highlights from last night’s breakdance class! It’s incredible to see how far our students have come over the last year, both physically and mentally. They’re constantly challenging themselves and growing, and it’s amazing to witness. Huge thanks to our incredible teacher Roj for guiding them every step of the way 💪💥

It was an absolute pleasure to have the extremely talented in yesterday to take over our Biggie Smalls group. I saw how much the students enjoyed the change up and learning something new. Thank you for sharing your heart, time and energy with us. 🫶

Hopefully this is something we can implement on a consistent basis each term to expand our knowledge and understanding of many dance styles under the Hiphop umbrella ☂️

I’m blown away by all the amazing performances tonight! Feeling very fortunate to have such beautiful families and dancers be part of the Mint Kids Family. Love seeing all the faces of our proud families watching their little ones shine.

Huge thanks to the legends Nettie & Rick my amazing parents for being there every week to help out, Abby our phenomenal admin superstar, Sara, Veronika and Flo our jnr assistant coaches and Roj our awesome Breakdance Teacher! It’s a team effort and Mint wouldn’t be what it is without all of you. Thank you 🙏
