Bringing music into community 💛

Tomorrow we’re bringing a special, stripped-back version of What the World Needs Now… to Palm Lake Resort Carindale.

It’s a reminder that music doesn’t need a stage, it just needs people.

Every time we gather, something meaningful happens. 🎶

A special night for Sing Sing Sing 💛

We were honoured to be attending the Queensland Philanthropy Week launch last night at Parliament House’s beautiful ‘Red Room’ — the heritage-listed Legislative Council Chamber.

We’re also incredibly proud that “A Glimpse into the Heart of Sing Sing Sing” by Steve Clark was selected as a finalist in the Queensland Gives Photo Challenge 2026.

Congratulations to Emily Hoppner (Southern Cross Kids’ Camps) on winning this year’s competition, and to all the finalists who captured such powerful moments of giving and connection.

A big congratulations to our friends at Vulcana, one of the recipients of the QCF General Fund Grant 👏

In its 16th year, Queensland Philanthropy Week is the largest celebration of kindness, giving and philanthropy in the country, with 24 events over 10 days bringing together more than 3,350 people to spark conversations about generosity and impact.

Moments like these shine a light on the power of music, community, and connection, and we’re so grateful to be part of it. 💛

It’s National Volunteer Week. Nothing at Sing Sing Sing would happen without our volunteers:

🎶the volunteer Buddies who sing with the choir each week, supplying morning tea, putting out the chairs, making sure people feel welcome and supporting choir members to get the most out of their Sing Sing Sing experience

📋 our volunteer Board guiding us and making sure we dot ‘i’s and cross ‘t’s

🧾 our volunteer finance officer helping us keep track of expenses and income etc

🎟️ the many volunteers who have helped us with fundraising activities: from arranging flowers for our Getting to Know You High Tea to making sure we had enough ice to keep drinks cold at a House Concert…and many many more!

Thank you🙏. Your efforts mean we can keep singing together!

Sing Sing Sing took the stage this morning for their debut Anywhere Festival Brisbane performance.

Led by Melissa Gill and assisted by Beks George, the choir and band, together with the audience co-created a collective response to a question that's become more important than ever: “What the world needs now is…?” 💛

It was a joyful, heartfelt and powerful experience, shaped by every voice in the room.
Thank you to everyone who sang, shared and showed up, we couldn’t have done it without you. 🎶

This special event was made possible thanks to The Creative Sparks Grant Program, and we’re so grateful to Vulcana for hosting us in such an incredible space.
