Today is the day! See you at Trinitas tonight 7:30pm!

We chose Holy Trinity Hall because its warm, resonant acoustic is a perfect fit for this program of Tavernier, Marsh, Britten and Grier ✨

Fun fact: when was founded in 1966 by John Curro, its very first rehearsal took place right here in Holy Trinity Hall. The hall itself is even older, having been built in 1891–92 and designed by noted Brisbane diocesan architect John Hingeston Buckeridge.

TONIGHT | LUX: An Evening of Radiance 🕯️

The countdown has reached its final hours. At 7:30 PM tonight, the historic stone architecture of Sacred Heart Rosalie in Paddington will fill with the sounds of OEM’s Foundation Choir!

Before the music begins, hear from two of our exceptional OEM Foundation artists, Ingrid (Soprano) and Paul (Bass) as they describe this breathtaking repertoire—stretching from ancient Gregorian chant to luminous modern works by Eric Whitacre and Morten Lauridsen—and what it means to perform in a professional program that supports the careers of Brisbane’s finest emerging vocalists.

Every ticket purchased tonight directly funds local artists and elevates the standard of professional choral music in Queensland.

✨Lux is tomorrow evening✨
You may recognise this music as Ni**od, the famous Adagio from Elgar’s Enigma Variations. Often performed as a stand-alone work, it has been adapted here for choir with the Lux Aeterna text from the Requiem Mass. The original variation is among Elgar’s most impassioned utterances: a long, noble crescendo built from expressive harmonic suspensions, rising to a broad, glowing climax. The addition of the sacred text and human voices deepens the emotion of this work. Hear OEM Foundation sing it live in the glorious acoustic of Sacred Heart Rosalie tomorrow evening 7:30pm
