We're back in business, baby!

Prep has begun for tonight's gig at the Old Museum, feels fantastic to be able to participate in the Brisbane scene after such a trying few months. Expect some cool footage soon from such a fantastic venue.

This is what my pandemic productivity looks like for me. Doing the solo game dev thing in Unreal Engine, fiddling around and trying to learn at least the basics in every system. So far I've delved into the physics to sort out the core mechanic, particle systems to add interaction feedback, and combined that with my prexisting knowledge on how to make the materials pretty. It's still pretty rough around the edges but I just threw the first coat of paint on it and wanted to show it off.

Next step is diving into the foliage system so I can have some nice trees and grass to bounce through.

Taking suggestions for a fitting title because I've got nothing so far.

Turns out that filming LED wall during the day with a phone camera is damn hard. This is the only clip I have that looks anything half-decent.

Hypnogog's driving beats had me opening up the taps on a full-blown happy chaos mix, ribbons and explosions of colour cutting through a tangled mess of underlying structure.

Sound on to hear my phone mic begging for mercy.

The view from the VJ bunker at Subterran Stage, . These shots are from the final set of the weekend, was honoured to close out the festival after a weekend of amazing performances. Visuals were produced using a combination of real-time generated textures in and overlaying effects in , first gig with the new workflow and couldn't be giddier to see it come together so smoothly.
