Week 4 Done and Dusted
This week we learned the Lakalaka, and our students proved once again how incredibly fast they learn. Honouring and keeping the beautiful teachings of our late Punake alive. Seeing how quickly our students, especially the new faces who just joined us mastered the movements makes us proud.

Our students have accomplished so much already, and we couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and dedication 👏🏻

Even with the cold weather, they continue to show up each week with great energy, positive attitudes, and a willingness to learn 🔥

3 weeks into classes and our senior boys are absolutely killing it. 🔥
The Me’etu’upaki is a little tricky, but these boys have brought nothing but focus and dedication to classes every single week. They’ve been putting in the work to get every movement locked in, and we can’t wait to see it all come together.

Hard work looks good on them! 🔥
Week 2 down and these dances are looking sharp. Watching our students embrace their Tongan culture with so much pride and happiness is the absolute best part of this journey.

Stepping into the first week of Tongan dance for 2026, embracing every lesson with an open heart and with so much gratitude for the opportunity to teach, learn and connect with our culture.

It’s bittersweet to be here without our beloved Punake Kulisitofa Tauelangi, but we dance on in his honor, carrying his legacy forward through every movement.

His spirit and teachings continue to guide us.

We hope that over the next 10 weeks our students grow their sense pride in their culture and also their knowledge of sacred traditions passed down through generations.

Happy Saturday 🤎

Our first official day for our Kolokakala students begins this coming Monday 🙌🏼
This will be an introduction day to welcome both our new students and returning students back to Kolokakala 🤎

A chance for everyone to meet your teachers and the team behind it all ☺️

If you have registered your child or yourself, please join us on Monday at 6PM at the location provided on your registration form 🥰
