THE ZON is a solo pop project by 19-year-old q***r producer and singer Eddy Egerton. Influenced by DIY musicians like Grimes and Charli XCX, their music can be described as modern synth pop. When it comes to performing, Eddy is not alone on stage, backed by a talented band that helps bring THE ZON to life in a live setting. They’ve been hitting stages all around Brisbane, bringing their unique sound and energy to the local scene.

💋MEET GUILTY’S SOUND OPERATOR💋

Venue manager for the Bloodhound Bar with a Bachelor of Audio, Jackson lives in an immersive world of creation. Whether it be within melodies, beats or the harmonising of ingredients to create his next cocktail, Jackson’s passion is to give life to an idea for it to be shared with the people around him, whether it’s through their ears or their palettes. With 8 years of stage experience ranging from musical theatre, jazz and hip hop, he also knows his way around a stage and was happy to be the sound guy for this show! His role as Bloodhound’s main bartender makes him feel the most empowered because he does more than make drinks. Charging only for drinks, his bartender wisdom is completely free. You’d be surprised how many people have borrowed his ears over the years, watching customers leave in a better mood than they arrived is an irreplaceable feeling.

💋MEET GUILTY’S LIGHTING DESIGNER & OPERATOR💋

Phoebe Quinn is an emerging Meanjin based theatre maker who strives to make theatre an accessible and engaging experience, especially for young people. Her work, much like herself, is often unapologetically loud, bright and joyful, as she throws herself headfirst into every project she can find

Since graduating from QUT with a BFA in Drama, Phoebe has had the pleasure of working with companies, such as Verum Arts, Theatre Punk, Vena Cava Productions and All Entertainment. She is thrilled to once again be working with Inscape Assembly on Guilty, and hopes that this production will inspire, empower and encourage all sorts of people to start conversations

She feels most empowered when she takes risks and tries new things. It might take some time to build up the courage, and it might not work every time, but nothing feels as good as the moment when that leap of faith turns into a smooth soar

Alternatively she also feels quite empowered when she’s three drinks in and is struck with the unearned confidence of an average, mediocore, straight man

💋MEET GUILTY’S ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER💋

Tabitha (she/her) is a Bachelor of Creative Industries student at Queensland University of Technology, majoring in Drama and Performance. She is in her third year of university, having changed degrees three times prior to starting her current one.
Tabitha has loved the performing arts since she was little, having spent 12 years in the Australian Girls Choir before graduating high school in 2021. She has played lead roles in several school productions including Alice in Wonderland and High School Musical and hopes to keep adding to her acting resume. However, being involved in Guilty as an Assistant Stage Manager has allowed her to branch out and explore “the other side” of theatre. After hearing about the show, she was keen to jump on board, as its themes are close to her heart. She is also a sucker for a good parody.
Tabitha feels empowered when she listens to uplifting music by killer female artists such as Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey and Taylor Swift. She often daydreams about singing “All That Jazz” from Chicago in a swanky jazz bar, surrounded by smoke and dressed in a sparkly flapper outfit.

Kayla (she/her) is an early-career production & stage manager. As a freelancer, she has worked with numerous arts companies & events across Australia - most recently with Big Scary Animal, La Boite Theatre Company, Indelability Arts, Pip Theatre, Woodford Folk Festival. Kayla is currently employed with multiple venues across SEQ as a duty technician and also works with Griffith University as a sessional academic. She feels most empowered when the following three things are true:
- She can trust others
- Others feel they can trust her
- She trusts herself.

💋MEET GUILTY’S MUSIC PRODUCER💋

Eddy, preferring to go by his stage name, The Zon, is a Brisbane-based producer, performer, and singer-songwriter supported by his powerhouse band, which brings his vision to life on stage. He has been active in the local Brisbane music scene since he was 18, with an EP and LP already released, and another LP currently under production. He is keen to innovate and explore other creative endeavors, particularly those that challenge and push his creative limits. The songs featured in ‘Guilty’ are recognizable music and musical staples that he produced from scratch, helping to bring the writer’s vision to life while maintaining the essence of the original pieces. The soundtrack successfully pays homage to generational pop divas such as Rihanna and cultural-defining musicals of old like Chicago. He is empowered not only by performing on stage but also by witnessing the passion other local artists bring to their performances. A major source of empowerment for him is being part of the q***r music scene, which encourages him to always give his best to his projects.

💋MEET GUILTY’S HEAD LYRICIST & ASSISTANT COMPOSER💋

Mak Harris is a musician and lyricist with a fixation on all things comedy. After graduating from their drama degree last year, Mak has kept busy with writing songs and comedy, even performing their first solo show in April (Throwing A Punchline). With multiple musical projects under their belt, Mak was honored to be invited to collaborate with Inscape Assembly again. They have had an incredible time crafting lyrics for Guilty and cannot wait for audiences to experience the show!

Mak feels empowered whenever they write a song that makes people laugh. Laughter is relief in the face of bad situations and conjuring it makes Mak feel like a narcissistic wizard.
