Introducing the band behind our October '26 season of A Night At The Musicals! 🥁

Leading the way on keys is our Musical Director, Michael Keen. An accomplished music director, conductor and educator, Michael has studied and worked extensively across musical theatre, opera and orchestral performance in Australia and overseas. He was awarded the President of the European Music Academy Prize after conducting the North Czech Philharmonic in Prague, and has worked with Opera Queensland’s Open Stages Program, Brisbane Philharmonic and the Queensland Academy of Excellence in Musical Theatre.

Credits include Parade, A Little Night Music, Li’l Elvis and the Truckstoppers, Love Actually: The Parody Musical, Side by Side with Sondheim, Disney in Concert, Jersey Boys, School of Rock, Orpheus in the Underworld, Suor Angelica, Gianni Schicchi, The Rake’s Progress and, of course, A Night at the Musicals.

Michael will be joined by Dominic Machen on Drums / Percussion, Bede Prince on Bass (Electric / Upright) and Matthew Teakle on Guitar / Cello.

We can’t wait for them to accompany our 12-strong cast through beloved classics, contemporary favourites and some of the newest material from Broadway and the West End.

In this special performance, Billy opens his suitcase of memories, sharing the highs, the lows, and the very best stories from his life on stage and touring on the road with his family.

Featuring beloved musical theatre classics alongside deeply personal favourites, the evening celebrates the music that has defined Billy's career. Best known for starring as Tony in West Side Story on Sydney Harbour for Opera Australia, and the national tours of Miss Saigon, Sunset Boulevard and Les Misérables, Billy brings these iconic roles to life with songs including 'Santa Fe', 'Sunset Boulevard', and 'Why God Why'. Along the way, he'll share entertaining and heartfelt stories from productions including The Book of Mormon and Anastasia.

✨ Meet the cast of A Night At The Musicals!

Next up is Angelique Cassimatis!

Angelique is a true triple-threat performer, excelling as an actor, singer and dancer across Australia, New Zealand and internationally, with an extensive list of professional stage and live theatre credits.

Angelique most recently appeared in the original Australian cast of Eddie Perfect's Beetlejuice (Michael Cassel Group) as Miss Argentina. She performed in the Australian tour of Chicago: The Musical (John Frost for Crossroads Live & Jones Productions), covering and appearing as Velma Kelly. She also played The Wicked Witch in The Wizard of Oz (Queensland Performing Arts Centre and Prospero Arts), following her role as Kathy Selden in Singin' in the Rain, and earlier this year appeared in the Hamburg season of the disco cabaret Velvet.

Her other major credits include Cassie in the critically acclaimed A Chorus Line (Darlinghurst Theatre Company) for Sydney Festival and the Sydney Opera House, Jean in American Psycho (BB Arts Entertainment), and Pippin (John Frost & Suzanne Jones), where she performed as Berthe and Leading Player. Additional theatre credits include Hair, Saturday Night Fever, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Mack & Mabel, Carmen on Sydney Harbour, Little Shop of Horrors, Jesus Christ Superstar, Rent, Strictly Ballroom, The Rocky Horror Show, King Kong Live on Stage, Mary Poppins, High School Musical, Guys and Dolls, and The Opera, The Eighth Wonder.

Angelique began her training at The Dance Works in Brisbane before continuing at The Australian Dance Performance Institute, making her professional musical theatre debut in Annie in 2000. She has also received critical acclaim for her one-woman show, Guilty Pleasures.

Angelique is passionate about inspiring and mentoring the next generation of performers.

✨ Meet the cast of A Night At The Musicals!

Next up is returning soloist, Euan Fistrovic Doidge!

Euan Fistrovic Doidge is an award-nominated Australian musical theatre performer whose career spans leading roles across Australia and internationally. Most recently, he appeared as Pirelli in Sweeney Todd and Maximillian in Candide for Victorian Opera, reprising Candide with Opera Australia in 2025. His recent credits also include Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Lola in Kinky Boots (Showbiz Christchurch), Neighbours, and Carols by Candlelight.

Career highlights include Tony Manero in Saturday Night Fever, Felicia/Adam in Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Marius in the Australian tour of Les Misérables, and appearances in A Chorus Line, Legally Blonde, Grease, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Cruel Intentions, Fun Home, and Pippin. Euan also performed as lead vocalist with Burn the Floor aboard Norwegian Cruise Line and released his debut album, Let It Sing.

A graduate of Patrick Studios Australia, Euan was the youngest-ever Helpmann Award nominee for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical for his performance as Paul San Marco in A Chorus Line.

✨ Meet the cast of A Night At The Musicals!

Next up is returning soloist, Sarah Morrison!

Sarah most recently closed the Australian tour of MJ: The Musical, starring as Rachel. Prior to this she performed in Side By Side With Sondheim at the Brisbane Powerhouse, returned from the international tour of seasons of Miss Saigon as Ellen and reprised the beloved role of Belle in The Old Vic production of A Christmas Carol.

Sarah’s career began with Opera Queensland performing in the children’s chorus in La Bohème and Hansel and Gretel. She went on to study and after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre from the Ballarat Arts Academy (now known as Federation University). Sarah played Tracy in Dust (Queens Theatre and Brisbane’s Powerhouse) and Elizabeth in Third World Blues (Company 11).

Sarah’s breakout role was the one she originated as the lead of Lisa Miles in the national tour of Ladies in Black, a new work co-produced by the Queensland and Melbourne Theatre Companies. Next came Sophie Sheridan in the Australian tour of Mamma Mia! and then sellout seasons of Come From Away in the role of Janice and Others. Sarah made her West End debut when she then joined the London production of Come From Away. Other credits include You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown in the role of Sally Brown.

Screen credits include The Doctor Blake Mysteries and Making Dust for ABC Artscape.
