Our Extension Program is more than just extra classes, it’s a day dedicated to growth.

A day for dancers to be challenged, inspired, and encouraged to step outside their comfort zones while training with an incredible team of industry professionals.

Today was one of those days that reminds me how lucky we are 🖤🤍

I’m so proud of our part-time students who spent the day at , stepping outside their comfort zones, learning from industry professionals, and making the most of every opportunity.

A huge thank you to and Connor for organising such a wonderful experience. We’re also so grateful to all of the Launch teachers today, , and along with the students who were incredibly welcoming, encouraging, and supportive throughout the day. Your kindness helped make the experience such a positive one for our dancers.

Experiences like these are invaluable, helping our students grow not only as dancers but as confident young people.

To finish the day, we enjoyed a fun trip to YOMG together before heading home with lots of memories and inspiration for the future.

When people think about dance, they often think about trophies, costumes, performances and technique.

They’re important.

But they’re not the things we hope our dancers remember most.

We hope they remember learning to be kind.

To work hard when nobody was watching.

To support the people around them.

To keep going when things felt difficult.

To accept feedback, learn and grow.

Because while great dancers are important, great humans are even more important.

At ADI, we’re proud to teach dance, but we’re even prouder of the young people we’re helping shape along the way. 🤍

This week our Lil Groovers explored all things COLOUR! From rainbow obstacle courses to colourful adventures with TRIXZ 🌟, our little dancers had so much fun while building confidence and colour recognition.

Our Lil Ninjas were so proud of themselves as they worked on their coconut rolls independently 💥 Watching their excitement as they achieved something new was the highlight of our week!

We are so proud of all our Groovers and Ninjas and can’t wait to do it all again next week! ✨🌈🩷

Competition mornings are a special kind of chaos… 😅

So we asked our dance parents one simple question:

🎤 “What’s one thing you did to upset your dancer today?”

The answers did not disappoint… 😂

From saying “good luck” the wrong way, to breathing too loudly, to simply existing before their performance… it’s safe to say comp day emotions are REAL.

Behind every dancer is a parent running on coffee, carrying 17 bags, fixing costumes, finding lost earrings, and somehow becoming the villain before the first routine even hits the stage. 🤣

Senior Extension dancers are in for an incredible day of training with and .

From commercial performance to industry insights, our dancers will be challenged, inspired and pushed to grow by two highly respected professionals.

Opportunities like this are exactly why we created our Extension Program, giving dancers access to the people, experiences and knowledge that help bridge the gap between studio training and the professional industry.

One of the highlights from Term 1 was our Mock Audition Workshop with

Auditions can be intimidating, but they’re a huge part of the dance industry. Learning how to walk into a room confidently, pick up choreography quickly, take corrections, perform under pressure and present yourself professionally are all skills that take practice.

Our Extension students were challenged to step outside their comfort zones, experience a real audition environment and gain valuable feedback from someone working within the industry.

There were definitely some nervous faces at the start, but seeing the growth, resilience and confidence develop throughout the day was incredible.

A huge thank you to Bree Walker for creating such a positive and professional experience for our dancers. Opportunities like these are exactly why we are so passionate about our Extension Program, giving students real-world experiences that help prepare them for the next step in their dance journey.

As dance teachers, we spend a lot of time talking about technique, flexibility and performance.

But the things that matter most often happen quietly in the background.

The dancer who keeps showing up.
The one who doesn’t quit when things get hard.
The one who takes a step back before they take two steps forward.
The one who keeps trying, even when nobody is watching.

Dance is about so much more than learning steps.

It’s about building confidence, resilience, discipline and a belief in yourself that lasts long after the music stops.

To all our dance parents – thank you for trusting us to be part of your child’s journey. 🤍
