Dads, this is your opportunity to utter those famous words:

**“I used to be REALLY good at this.”**

Kids, this is your opportunity to find out if that’s actually true. 😂😂

No special outfits, no fancy plans — just two hours of music, skating and some Father’s Day fun together. 💙

**PUT HIM ON ROLLER SKATES.** 😂🛼

Join us this **Father’s Day – Sunday 6 September** for two hours of skating, music, laughs and possibly discovering that Dad’s skating skills aren’t *quite* as impressive as he remembers them being. 😜

Bring Dad, Grandad, Pop, Stepdad or that special father figure in your life and spend the morning doing something fun together. 💙

And Dads… standing on the sidelines is allowed.

But getting out there and **showing the kids how it was done back in your day** is MUCH more entertaining. 😂

The drawbridge is down.
The kingdom awaits.
And somebody has put **WHEELS ON THE PEASANTS.** 😂🛼

Tonight, Bridgetown Leisure Centre shall be transformed into a mighty medieval kingdom where knights don't need horses, wizards probably can't be trusted and the royal court will be travelling considerably faster than usual. 🏰

⚔️ Leave thy sword at home.
🐎 Park thy horse outside.
👑 Secure thy crown.
🛼 Strap wheels to thy feet.

And should thou fall upon the rink?

**ARISE, BRAVE KNIGHT, AND PRETEND NOBODY SAW IT.** 😂⚔️

Costumes are encouraged but not compulsory — modern-day peasants in shorts and T-shirts shall also be welcomed. 😜

The castle gates open at **6PM**, and we're calling all knights, queens, kings, jesters, wizards, dragons and humble peasants to join us for **MEDIEVAL MAYHEM!** 🏰

Don thy finest medieval attire and prepare thyself for two hours of rolling revelry!

🧙 Wizard hats — YES
🐉 Dragons — absolutely
⚔️ Actual swords — **NAY!** 😂
🛼 Skates — **MOST DEFINITELY**

No costume? Fear not! **Thou shalt still be permitted entry to the kingdom.**

Raid the castle wardrobe and come dressed for **MEDIEVAL MAYHEM!**

⚔️ Knights — leave the swords at home
👑 Kings & Queens — crowns encouraged
🧙 Wizards — questionable spells welcome
🐉 Dragons — please refrain from setting fire to the Leisure Centre

📚🛼 TODAY'S THE DAY – BOOK WEEK ON WHEELS! 🛼📚

The books are closed, the skates are on and things are about to get a little… fictional. 😂

We want to see witches doing laps, superheroes trying to stay upright, Wally hiding somewhere near the rink and Harry Potter discovering that roller skates are considerably harder to steer than a broomstick. ⚡🛼

Already worn your Book Week costume? Excellent — get your money's worth and wear it again! 😂

Haven't got one? Doesn't matter. Just come as yourself — technically, we're all characters. 😜

This Sunday, we’re celebrating BOOK WEEK at Bridgetown Roller Skating, so raid the dress-up box, grab a costume and come skating as your favourite character! 🧙‍♀️🦸‍♂️🐉🧚‍♀️

Will we see Harry Potter on wheels? ⚡
The Cat in the Hat flying around the rink? 🎩
A few Wallys hiding in the crowd? 👀
Maybe a Wonka, a witch, a wizard, a superhero or something completely unexpected!

Costumes aren't compulsory — but with Book Week, this is your chance to give that costume another outing! 🙌

🤘🎸 TONIGHT – GRUNGE GARAGE! 🎸🤘

COME AS YOU ARE… COME AS A SKATER! 🛼😎

Tonight we’re throwing it back to the days of flannel, ripped jeans, garage bands and guitars turned up WAY too loud. 🖤🎸

Grab your band tee, tie a flannie around your waist and bring your best Seattle-in-the-90s attitude.

🎸 Nirvana? Yep.
🔥 Pearl Jam? Absolutely.
🤘 Soundgarden? You bet.
🛼 Falling over and pretending you meant to do it? VERY grunge.

We’ve got Jeremy… hopefully he’s brought his skates. 😂
We’ve got plenty of Teen Spirit… although after two hours of skating, it might smell like something else. 😜

And if anyone asks what you’re doing tonight?

EVEN FLOW… STRAIGHT TO THE SKATING RINK. 🤘🛼😂
