The Box Hill LAC Cross Country Open Day is just around the corner, and entries are officially OPEN! It’s time for our little athletes to take on the beautiful tracks of Wattle Park.

📅 When: Sunday 31st May 2026
📍 Where: Wattle Park, Burwood (Enter off Monsborough Drive)
⏰ First race kicks off at: 9:30 AM (Make sure to marshal 15 mins before your event!)
🏅 Awards: Individual and Team medals up for grabs!

Race Schedule:
• 9:30am: U11-12 | 2000m
• 10:00am: U9-10 | 1500m
• 10:30am: U6 | 500m
• 10:45am: U7-8 | 1000m
• 11:00am: U13-17 | 3000m

💵 Cost: $12 per athlete (FREE for all BHLAC members!)
📋 Eligibility: Open to all registered little athletes!
🛒 How to Register: Head over to ResultsHQ and find the nominations menu.
👕 Reminders: Don't forget your Centre uniform and registration patch, they must be worn to compete!

What a day at Hagenauer Reserve! 🏆✨

Our Championship Day was an absolute standout, filled with speed, agility, gritty finishes, and plenty of smiles. From our U6s charging down the straight to our U16s showing incredible leadership, every single athlete brought their A-game.

A massive thank you to everyone who made it possible:

Our AGMS: Your dedication to our little athletes week in week out is unparalled. For that we thank you.

The Volunteers & Parents : We couldn't run a meet like this without your help on the BBQ, at the pits, and on the finish line.

Special Guest Georgia Griffith: A huge thank you to Olympic star and ex little athlete Georgia Griffith for joining us! Seeing your Olympic selection and record-breaking journey was such an inspiration to our Little Athletes. You proved that the track is just the beginning! 🏃‍♀️

Whether you’re taking home a medal or a participation ribbon, we are so proud of how far you’ve all come this season. GO BHLAC!

That is a wrap on the State Track and Field Championships and we are so proud of the entire BHLAC team!

Competing at the state level is a huge achievement in itself. Seeing so many of our athletes push for personal bests against tough competition was fantastic. The effort really paid off, with the club securing 59 finishes inside the Top 10.

We also brought home a total of 17 medals. A massive congratulations to our athletes who secured 4 Gold, 5 Silver, and 8 Bronze.

Well done to everyone who hit the track or the field last weekend. You represented the club brilliantly!
