Ted brings 20+ years of professional experience across film, television, theatre and music.

Ready to take your stage makeup skills to the next level?

SHYAC is thrilled to introduce an exciting new school holiday workshop for young performers aged 10–17 — a one-day Stage Makeup Workshop with industry legend Penny Clements!

And the theme? HAIRSPRAY! The Musical and Movie

Penny is a highly experienced Makeup, Hair, Wig & Special Effects Artist and Educator, with more than 40 years of industry experience across film, television, theatre, opera and beauty.

🎬 Trained at the prestigious London College of Fashion
🎭 Began her career in London's West End
👑 Worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company
🎥 Worked on major Australian productions including Moulin Rouge! and The Great Gatsby
🎭 Continued her professional work with Opera Australia
🎓 Wrote the Diploma of Specialist Makeup for TAFE NSW

Now she's bringing all of that incredible industry experience to SHYAC!

This is a fantastic opportunity to:

Haywire is seeking true stories from young people aged 16–22. If you know a young person with a story to tell, encourage them to apply!

BIG THANK YOU TO MITTAGONG RSL!

SHYAC is thrilled to have been awarded a ClubGRANTS grant from Mittagong RSL Club We’re incredibly grateful for their support of young people, theatre and the arts in our community. A huge thank you to Daniel Marmont, General Manager of Mittagong RSL, for his ongoing support of SHYAC and continued commitment to the arts in the Southern Highlands.

And a special shout out to our outgoing President, John, for all his hard work in successfully securing the grant, proof that you don’t escape SHYAC just because you hand over the President’s hat! 😉 We know he’ll continue to be a great supporter. Ya!
