Fairground Follies

Our Star attraction was a visit from 12 years old Ameer from Adelaide, whose love of mechanical music and deep interest in organs and carousels brought him to our Museum. Accompanied by his dedicated and supportive parents, he travelled many kilometers to experience the beauty and charm of our museum. We need more young people like Ameer , whose enthusiasm for mechanical music gives us hope that this wonderful interest continue for future generations.

Much of our success is due to our dedicated team who are responsible for maintaining and repairing the Fairground Follies equipment. Hans and Peter skilled engineers are also dear friends whom we can rely on. Hans loves to join us on some of our tours , delighting visitors by playing his beautiful busking Delika little organ. Big thank you Hans and Peter.

What a lovely month May was. The Autumn colours were at their peak , bringing many visitors to Bowral and the Fairground Follies. We were as usual busy , entertaining many wonderful groups as; Green Connect Coaches, Alfa Romeo Club , Meals on Wheels from Camdem, Forest walkers, Stereo camera club and out favorite Vintage Rail Journeys. The Vintage Rail visitors left wonderful comments regarding our tour hosted by Craig.It make us very happy to know that our tour is positively received by visitors.

April-what a fantastic outcome! We were delighted to welcome Cronulla Probus Club, southern Cross Coaches, On Course Travel, Illawarra OWN club, and of course Journey Beyond Trains(our devoted customer) to our Museum. Beyond Journey Trains where delighted to be entertained by acclaimed pianist Glenn Amer. Many thanks to Glen for contributing to such a memorable tour experience.

It’s hard to believe April is already here. Time seems to slip by so quickly, especially when life is full and busy. In the midst of it all, it’s easy to forget how fast the days are moving.

Lately, we’ve had the pleasure of hosting groups from all over Australia, and what a joy it has been. So many wonderful people, shared moments, laughter, and excitement—it truly makes everything feel so alive and meaningful.
