Weaving Workshop & Exhibition

A special event to celebrate NAIDOC week,
Join artist Jodie Munday and fellow weaver, Rose Shaw for a weaving workshop at Bowral Art gallery studios.
Jodie is a lead artists and weaver. She is a Wiradjuri artist, award winning weaver and Aboriginal Arts Officer for The Southern Tablelands Arts.
Jodie will have some original works on display to view and purchase.

They are currently taking bookings for Saturday 11 July 2026, 2 -4pm.
Expressions of interest for Sunday morning and afternoon and Saturday morning.

Get ready for one of the Southern Highlands’ most anticipated events, The Celebrity Portrait Reveal 2026,  — a wonderful afternoon of delicious food, inspiring art, lively conversation and unforgettable company at beautiful Centennial Vineyards Restaurant.

This year we’re thrilled to welcome Australian writer, comedian and broadcaster Craig Reucassel as our special guest. You’ll know Craig from The Chaser, War on Waste and ABC Radio Sydney — bringing his trademark wit, intelligence and charm to what promises to be an incredible afternoon.

Our talented portrait finalists — Anne-France Fulgence, Wayne Davis, Callum Worsfold and Robyn Kinsela — will display their portraits of Craig giving guests a rare behind-the-scenes chat about the creative process of creating a portrait.

The fun begins with canapés and drinks in the stunning courtyard, followed by a beautiful two-course lunch and exciting silent auction filled with amazing items and experiences. After lunch, the finished portraits will be unveiled and guests invited to vote for the coveted People’s Pickaward. Craig will also share stories, insights and conversation with acclaimed artist and BDAS patron, Ben Quilty.

Artworks...formerly know as Pigments.
This friendly group of painters, many of whom are founding members,  have been painting, and advised by a new tutor each term, for many years in a variety of mediums suitable for all tastes.
Very reasonable priced paintings may be purchased in watercolour, oils and acrylics on all subjects from landscapes to still life.  The artists will be in attendance over the weekend and happy to chat to those requiring information on the work displayed and possibly joining us (beginners very welcome) weekly of a Wednesday morning.”
