This week we are installing Fran Callen's "Drawing Groundwater".

This is a special group of works that explore the connections between drawing, motherhood and the environment. Inspired by groundwater research and climate change, Fran uses found pigments, recycled materials, and everyday marks to reflect on our relationship with the natural world and the knowledge we pass between generations.

Join us on Saturday at 2pm for her floor talk.

Join artist Fran Callen on Saturday 20 June at 2pm for a special floor talk for her exhibition "Drawing Groundwater". Everyone welcome!

"Drawing Groundwater" explores the connections between motherhood, drawing and the natural world. Inspired by field trips and hydrogeological research by Dr Margaret Shanafield, the exhibition reflects on climate change, groundwater, and intergenerational learning through the use of found pigments, recycled materials, and natural mark-making processes.

Drawing Groundwater is open 20 June - 1 August.

🤣 We’ve absolutely loved seeing your family photos (and occasional disasters!) from the Women’s Weekly Birthday Cake Book. This little duck cake suffered a catastrophic structural failure mid-mission… but like all true party legends, it soldiered on and the celebrations continued!

Donovan Christie's "Everyday is a Birthday" is on in the Gallery until 13 June.

People are craving slower hobbies. We’re tired of everything feeling mass-produced. Handmade pieces simply mean more because they carry time, care and creativity within them.

Sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting, stitching, paper crafts… these skills are being rediscovered by a whole new generation and we love seeing it 💛

We spotted this lovely local Crafting Retreat happening in the Tatiara area later this month and thought it was such a beautiful example of creativity bringing people together.
