Behind every lies a story.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be taking you behind the canvas to share the inspirations, emotions, and moments that shaped each piece in this collection. Some stories begin with a place, others with a feeling, a memory, or a question that refused to let go.

This collection invites you to connect with the universal experience of healing and self-discovery. Created from 2021 to 2025, the “Tears as Opals” collection was released and exhibited in its entirety during the Hilltops Off the Beaten Track Arts and Cultural Trail at Forever Young Gallery (Young NSW), in March 2025.

I’d love to know: when you collect art, what draws you in first, the colours, the story, or the way it makes you feel?

A few moments from our weekend on the farm ❤️❤️We spent some time collecting mushrooms, pulling white radishes growing amongst the oats, and enjoying the fresh country air together. There was plenty of mud, laughter, and a few little discoveries along the way with Mick, Austin, and Mackenzie.

As the colder weather settles here in Boorowa, I hope you’re all keeping warm and taking good care of yourselves this winter 🫶

Why did I paint Silence of the Land?

This is a question I’ve been reflecting on recently, and the answer is not a simple one.
The series emerged from my experiences as an artist, psychologist, researcher, and woman living and working within regional . It explores the relationship between people and place, the stories held within landscapes, and the quiet forms of strength, resilience, and that often go unseen.

Through these works, I wanted to explore what remains beneath the surface, the memories, emotions, and experiences carried by both land and people over time.

Swipe through to discover more about the inspiration behind the series.

And I’d love to hear from you: what has shaped who you are?

Silence of the Land is currently showing at as part of the Central Belonging Art Award exhibition until 14 June 2026

A beautiful weekend spent at the Canberra Royal Poultry Show 🤩
❤️❤️ The kids were completely in their element, especially after spending the morning teaching their own chickens a few tricks at home 😁
Watching their excitement, curiosity, and growing confidence with animals has been such a joy ❤️

An AngHart Story, The Final Part

Ever y painting begins somewhere, a landscape, a memory, a question, a feeling that refuses to be ignored. Over time, these fragments find their way onto the canvas, becoming part of a larger story about connection, , resilience, and what it means to be human.
This series has offered a glimpse into the world behind the work: the family, the farm, the psychology, the creativity, and the constant curiosity that continues to shape my practice.
Thank you for following along and being part of this journey ❤️

This concludes An AngHart Story.
For those who would like to experience the full film, it remains available on YouTube (Ang Hart Gallery) and on my website anghart.com
