Sometimes adulting really sucks. 😅

Between work, washing, appointments, dinner, dogs, kids, partners and the other 57 things that need doing right now, fun can feel like an optional extra that’s impossible to squeeze in.

I don’t think that has to be true, though.

Having something in your week that you genuinely look forward to matters. Something that makes you laugh, challenges you, connects you with people and reminds you there’s still a whole person in there underneath the to-do list.

Pole is that thing for me. 🫶

What’s yours?

And if you don’t have an answer yet, maybe we can help you find one. 💜

Huge thanks to my costars, Lyndal Young Alex Wheatley and Katherine 🙌

“I CAN DO HARD SH*T! 💪” - key takeaway from Saturday Bootcamp classes with An Dre

Doing something challenging doesn’t need to be scary or negative: it can be so much fun! It’s why there’s a rainbow sign in the studio that literally says “WE CAN DO HARD THINGS.”

But just so you feel comfy, I went along to class on Saturday and made this little vlog so you can see exactly what happens before you come along and try it for yourself!

You’ll sweat. 😓 You’ll work. There’ll be a moment where your brain says “absolutely not” and Andre says “actually, yes.” 😂

And then it’s over.

There’s an honest review at the end, and doesn’t starting your weekend feeling all of THIS sound pretty awesome?

✨ Accomplished.
✨ Challenged.
✨ Energised.
✨ Strong.
✨ ALIVE.

Try it and find out!

Come get strong with us, ! 🙌

It’s worth explaining what inclusion actually means at Stargazer.

It means making sure everybody has a place where they can belong, while recognising and honouring that not everybody has the same needs.

How does that show up on our timetable?

Pole4All is our signature class because we believe movement should be accessible to as many people as possible.

But we also recognise that some people feel safest learning alongside others with similar lived experiences. Whether that’s people who identify as curvy, women seeking a women-only environment, or anyone else whose circumstances make those spaces important, creating those opportunities isn’t contrary to inclusion.

It’s one of the ways we practise it.

Different people sometimes need different environments to feel safe enough to participate.

That isn’t separation. It’s thoughtful inclusion. 💜

🌟The Stargazer Standard.🌟

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been talking about what makes this community so special. We’ve explored welcoming people, including people, respecting boundaries, listening and supporting each other. We’ve talked about creating custodians instead of just customers.

None of those ideas exist in isolation. Together, they become a standard. Not a list of rules or a marketing slogan, but a shared understanding of who we choose to be every time somebody walks through the door.

Every person who joins this community inherits the experience created by the people who came before them. That means every conversation matters, just as ever act of kindness and every single decision to include someone, encourage someone or speak up when something doesn’t feel right matters.

Culture isn’t created by one person. It’s created by hundreds of small moments, repeated over and over again by ordinary people who decide this place matters.

We’re proud of who we are.

I’m just a few hours away from landing in Amsterdam. I’ll be away from the studio for the best part of a month.

For a lot of business owners, especially studio owners, that prospect is pretty terrifying.

I’m lucky. 🍀
I get to be chill. 😎

Problems will pop up, I’m sure. They tend to do so regularly. 😅 But I can rest assured that my community has got my back.

I know that if somebody walks into class feeling nervous, someone will make them feel welcome.

If somebody is sitting by themselves, someone will start a conversation.

I know somebody will offer words of encouragement to the person who needs it.

And I’m confident that if something doesn’t feel right, somebody will speak up.

Because that’s what a custodian does.

Customers consume.

*Custodians contribute.*

They take responsibility for the culture around them and leave the community better than they found it.

The reason Stargazer feels different isn’t because of *me*.
It’s because we have literally dozens of custodians.
People who welcome, encourage, include and care.

As I fly to the other side of the world, I get to reflect on that with a whole lot of gratitude, knowing the studio will be just fine. 💜🦄

Our Community Standards: part 4!

Respect isn’t complicated.

It’s recognising that every person has the right to decide what feels comfortable, safe and appropriate for them.

Cos it’s their body, their boundaries and their choice.

Who makes that complicated?! 🥸

Whether we’re talking about physical contact, photos and videos, personal questions or emotional vulnerability, consent matters.

In 2026, I can’t help but follow that up with: DUH. 😅

Most importantly:
A person’s “no” never requires justification.

Respect creates trust. Trust creates safety. Safety creates belonging.

Belonging is what I’ve found here, so that’s what this whole series is really about. ☺️

We don’t need to agree on everything.

Our unique lived experiences shape us and our world view.

If we’re curious enough to listen, though, there’s usually something worth learning.

One of the things that makes Stargazer special is the incredible diversity of people who walk through our doors.

Different ages. Different backgrounds. Different life experiences. Different ways of seeing the world.

That diversity makes our community stronger.

Connection starts when we become more interested in understanding each other than judging each other.

These are the Stargazer Community Standards: Part 3. ✨
