Dear Members & Guests
The moment we’ve been waiting for since the shutdown began with a few hours’ notice on 26th June is very close to being here with the NSW Government and NSW Health giving us ‘Roadmaps’ to conditions of reopening.
Freedoms For Fully Vaccinated People: https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/freedoms-for-fully-vaccinated-people
As foreshadowed for weeks, we now expect to reopen from Monday 11th October under the soon to be revised NSW Public Health Orders.
These Public Health Orders are the law and the Club complying with them is the only way that we can reopen and stay open.
Just as before, there will be a range of Covid restrictions in place, such as social distancing, capacity limits and mask requirements.
Current Public Health Orders: https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/covid-19/Pages/public-health-orders.aspx
Once our doors reopen, it is expected that the following entry procedures will occur:
1. Show our Staff your Digital or Paper Vaccination Certificate or a valid medical exemption.
2. Scan the Club’s QR code with your device at the entrance to the building to check in.
3. Show our Staff your QR code or let us check you in with your own ServiceNSW QR code.
4. Swipe your membership card or valid photo ID at the club sign in terminal.
We understand that this is not ideal, but please understand that the Club must work within the regulations that are set out by NSW Government and NSW Health.
We simply ask you to be patient and courteous as we all get used to the ‘newest normal’ while our people continue to do a fantastic job, which we thank them for.
Our priority as always remains the mental health and wellbeing of our staff, members, and guests.
For this reason, we have a zero-tolerance policy against any abuse of our staff or non-compliance with the NSW Public Health Orders.
We ask you to remember that this is a temporary requirement, and just as there will be further changes at the 80% stage of the NSW Roadmap, the NSW Premier has indicated a full reopening to all members and guests on Wednesday 1st December.
We look forward to bringing our team back to the venues, and they are looking forward to serving our members and guests again.
We have been busy during shutdown, particularly at Workers Blacktown and we have a lot of exciting new areas to show you whenever you’re back with us again.
Please see below for some tips to get you ready for reopening.
