🏆🐪 POLISHED COPPER CLAIMS THE BOULIA CUP! 🐪🏆

Congratulations to jockey Emily Parrott and Polished Copper on an emotional victory in the 2026 Boulia Cup, after finishing runner-up last year.

🥈 Second: Regi
🥉 Third: Geoffry

Regi also took out the 400m final, ridden by Bryce Mullane and trained by Peter Hodge.

Around 3,000 people enjoyed a huge weekend of racing, entertainment and outback hospitality at the iconic Boulia Camel Races.

The Desert Champions Way Outback Camel Trail now heads to Winton for the final stop on Saturday 25 July. Who will be crowned the ultimate Desert Champion? 🐪🏁

🐪🏆 POLISHED COPPER WINS BOULIA CUP 🏆🐪

🥇 Polished Copper, ridden by jockey Emily Parrott from near Newcastle, has claimed this year's Boulia Cup.

It was an emotional win for Ms Parrott, who said she'd been chasing victory with Polished Copper for several years. The camel finished second in 2025.

🥈 Second place went to Regi.
🥉 Third place went to Geoffry.

🏆Regi won the 400m final.

Organisers of this year's iconic Boulia Camel Races estimate around 3,000 people attended across the weekend. While not a record-breaking crowd, it was a welcome sight after a slow start to the Channel Country tourist season.

🗣️ A couple of answers to todays most common questions:

🚌 Courtesy bus kicks off on Friday - running from 2pm.

🎟️ Merchandise, check in, entry tickets (for those non-early bird purchases) & drink tickets available from 9am Tuesday.

The worlds most amazing dunny angels have arrived and will be cleaning our amenities over the week, we appreciate these amazing humans beyond words! Please take the time to shoot a salute their way if you happen to encounter them.

The mobile toilets and showers will arrive tomorrow.

Firewood will be dropped at random, there will also be firewood being sold by a local gent and donating part of the proceeds to the Boulia State School P&C to support our kids going to snow camp this year.

Please respect the accessible camping areas, we want to ensure our event can be enjoyed by all in the safest way.
