Yesterday the town got to say goodbye to an absolute champion and an icon in this town
The Tan family should be extremely proud of the event they have spent numerous hours putting together, people travelling from all over Australia and Abroad, i believe there were also a large number watching the live stream.
It was very well planned and went without a hitch on the day. The perfect MC for the occasion kept things flowing, the guest speakers who kept everyone engaged with stories that had tears, laughter and enormous respect for Doc.
I’m sure he would have been super proud looking down yesterday at the legacy he has left (while also keeping an eye on the Caufield Cup and Everest)
RIP Dr Tan you have certainly left your imprint on this town and you will most certainly be missed.

Special thanks to everyone that purchased tickets and supported this event also to all the Civic Centre staff that worked tirelessly in preparation, in running, pack up and cleaning it is greatly appreciated.
Hopefully AMY has led the way for other Artists to see Biloela as a viable prospect to hold their events in the future
