Beverley Station Arts Gallery & Platform Theatre Closed in October 1984, the Railway Station fell into disrepair, but after much hard work by both the community and council was beautifully restored in 2006.

Not for Profit 💸 Built in 1886 in the Victorian Tudor style, the Beverley Railway Station was the hub of activity when Beverley was an important stop on the Perth to Albany passenger line. In 2007, the Beverley Railway Station was th

e winner of the Heritage Council of Western Australia award for the Conservation of a place on the State Register of Heritage Places. The Railway Station now displays the Beverley Council Art Collection and you can also buy work by local artists or talk with an artist in residence. Venture beyond the gallery to the Platform Theatre and see the amazing amphitheatre and stage, where many of the summer events are held in Beverley.

Welcome back Tich & Sheila 🤩 who were Artists in Residence in 2024!

Tich Dixon is a highly regarded, award-winning contemporary artist and community arts facilitator based in Rockingham. She is celebrated for her nature-inspired, environmental artwork and interactive workshops.

Sheila Monohan studied art in Ireland and here in Australia and is well known for her knitted wire sculptures and also her love of creating sculptures from clay.

Artists in residence Tich and Sheila will be running three wonderful workshops at the Station in June and July.

🌟Wire Handbag/Dress
Make either a handbag or a dress from chicken wire adorned with beads, buttons, pre-loved jewellery etc. Adults only.

🌟Creative Critters
Create fun critters from air dried clay, wire, beads and other found materials. Suitable for both adults and children.

🌟Mixed Media
An exciting mix of mediums such as print making, cartoon drawing and other 2D objects.
