Craftea has been inspired by other 'craft cafe' type spaces and seeks to provide a venue for craft workshops that has a creative and inspiring atmosphere. We value thrifty and recycled materials. The vintage, preloved and up-cycled is enjoyed and celebrated. We encourage openness and share share our ideas, skills and materials. We love:
Stitches, fabric, paper, buttons, stamps, thread, anything old, clever ideas, simple ideas, old books, washi tape, ribbon, twine, brown paper and tea. We teach:
At Craftea workshops, we have worked out how to do it so you don't have to. We have the equipment so you don't have to buy it. We've put all the materials together in a kit so you don't have to find them all. We've set up the space so you don't have to make room and we will tidy up afterwards. You'll go home with something you've made yourself and enough materials to make another. The kettle is on and the biscuits are out so stop on by and make some thing yourself.
