After three months of non-consecutive days, overcoming unpredictable weather, we triumphantly brought this vision to life!

‘THE HEART OF GLOSSOP COMMUNITY SCHOOL’ 🖤🩵🤍

This vibrant artwork tells the inspiring story of uniting the younger generation in pursuit of knowledge, cultural exploration, and self-discovery, empowering them to create a brighter future.

| ARTWORK DESCRIPTION |

The central meeting area embodies the essence of Glossop Community School symbolizing the heart of learning, gathering, and sharing. It showcases how the Department of Education unites individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of belonging.

The coloured circles represent the vibrant communities surrounding the Riverland, while the smaller circles with seating signify the children who attend Glossop Community School, emphasizing their importance.

The animal tracks depicted around the artwork are native to Australia, often observed during school excursions, walks, or in books, serving as a reminder of the connection to the land.

The expansive wavy lines represent the majestic Mighty Murray River, meandering through The Riverland, symbolizing the journey of life. The cross-stitched design embodies strength, courage, and resilience, reflecting the school's three mottos: Respect, Resilience, and Responsibility.

I am incredibly proud of the time, dedication, and love that my mother and I have invested in this project. Together, we have created something truly special, significant, and inspiring, not only for the students and staff of Glossop CS but for generations to come.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Glossop Community School for this incredible opportunity to showcase our art on a massive scale and to the community for their love, support, and feedback. 🥰

How good does blue and white look 💙🩵🤍
My latest collection and collaboration with Neon Painting & Aboriginal Art.

Olly wanted something special to remind him of his journey to The Riverland, and his connection & love for the beautiful country and environment that he thrives in.

The ‘yabby’ is highly significant to the First Nation People of the Murray-Mallee Region. It tells his story about moving to The Riverland as he falls in love with the river and everything connected with it.
The blue wavy patterns represents the floodplains as it’s basically Olly’s office. The footprints tell his journey as he travels from one place to another. The blue background dots symbolises his love and passion for the wetlands. 🔵⚪️

I couldn’t be happier with the outcome, hope you enjoy your new artwork.
p.s His passion and enthusiasm inspires me to keep caring for Country.
