People often ask what got me into my scrap metal. Well it is a big thanks to my mum, you see mum developed dementia and it was very fast moving. Took over her mind very fast.

The thing that made me realise some things was I think we need to challenge our brain all our life. So I chose doing scrap metal art as my background being a boilermaker welder by trade I thought why not use my skills to try and do something, so the challenge was on and yes what I do isnt perfect truth be known it shouldn't be perfect as its what my brain interprets to make these things. So its opened lots of things for me number 1 patience something I never ever had and its taught me set your mind to something and just do it.

If you follow me then I want to challenge you to maybe challenge yourself in some way that can be continued forever. Ive tried canvas painting as well and will try it again soon just something outside what i have skills for. So the challenge is on let me know in the comments what you think you could challenge yourself with

Just want my followers to know that my art is done part time this is my full time job i work for a crane company operating towers and others things for them, so I guess what im trying to say is when I do a project it takes me a little time just for instance the lyrebird Joolah took maybe 6 weeks to make usually I do my art on weekends

Well im not big on public speaking at all but anyway here goes, Joolah is at his forever home at Bermagui Mens Shed gifted to them in appreciation for their help at sculpture Bermagui art competition. Sometimes its not all about take take take like this world has become, im still of the old school people,they helped me out big time and this was made for them for appreciation of what they do.
What a great bunch of people I met today, they put on a huge sunday roast well 3 course meal.
This is a challenge to all artists do something for a community group that is worthy of a peice of your art it costs nothing to show appreciation.
